Projects and set-up

7 features
Projects, places at any depth and cost codesEvery job is a project: a contract for a client, a development you build to sell, or a building for your own use. Each project is split into places as deep as you need (tower, floor, flat, or a road chainage). Costs are booked to your own cost codes.Every planProject team with roles and datesEach project lists who does what: project manager, site engineer, QS, the client's representative, the architect, subcontractors and the bank's engineer. Each line has from and until dates, so a hand-over keeps the history and site staff see only their own sites.Every planStages you leave only when the checks passEvery job moves through your stages, from Planning and Approvals to the Defects Period. A stage lets go only when its checks pass, such as the key events done or the client's stage payment received. Passing anyway takes an approval with the reason on record. From GrowthKey events: slab casting, handoverBhoomi pooja, foundation pour, slab casting, topping out and handover run as key events. Each has readiness checks counted back from the day, bookings for ready-mix and pump, and invitations the client answers from a link. Curing and cube results follow by themselves. From GrowthProject feed for the team and the clientOne timeline per project where stage changes, key events, payments due and your own posts land. Each item says who it is meant for: your team, the client, subcontractors, the bank or buyers. People outside are told on WhatsApp or by email with a link to their own view, and confirm important items with Seen. From GrowthClient payment plans with milestonesGive a contract job its payment plan. For example: 10 % on signing, 15 % at foundation, 10 % per slab and 5 % at handover. Each milestone falls due by hand, on a date or after a number of days. With Growth also at a stage or when the slab casting is done. The client is told the amount and the date to pay by.Every planDashboards: Site, Projects, QualityReady dashboards open first in Construction: Site for every site engineer, Projects and Quality for managers, and Sales for the sales team. Every number counts only what the viewer may open, and a click shows the records behind it.Every plan

Estimating

BOQ with versionsKeep each project's bill of quantities in the system, item by item, priced and tied to places and cost codes. Import it from the client's Excel, make it final, and when the scope changes start a new version: the old one is kept as Replaced. Site progress, the budget, work orders and client bills all work from the same items.Every planBOM per unit of work and material requirementSay once what one unit of work takes, such as 1 m³ of M20 concrete or 1 m² of 230 mm brick wall. Give a wastage % per material. Name the BOM on each BOQ item, and the project's material requirement follows: cement, sand, steel and bricks by place and month.Every planRate analysis and the cost libraryBuild each BOQ rate from its material, labour, plant and subcontract cost, plus overhead and profit, using basic rates kept in one cost library. When cement or labour rates change, update the analyses and take the new rates into a draft BOQ.From GrowthPlan estimates, building packages and DXF readingPrice a client's house or building plan in minutes. Use your building package rate per m² or sq ft, or quantities worked out with your own norms and rates. DXF drawings are measured as they are added, and AI can read PDF and picture plans if you switch it on.From GrowthEstimate request pageA public page, Estimate My Building, where people planning a building send their plans and a few facts. Each request becomes a plan estimate with its floors and an enquiry, and your Construction managers are told by email. From GrowthSpecifications on homes for saleWrite each building package's specification once: cement, steel, flooring, doors, kitchen, bathrooms, electrical, paint, each with its allowance, and what is not included. It prints with every estimate, and with unit sales it goes on each home, its sale, the buyer's PDF and the buyer's portal. From Growth

Site

7 features
Daily site report with auto-submitThe site enters the day once: work done by place, labour, material, plant, weather, issues and photos. A report still in draft at the project's cut-off is submitted by itself, so the company and client updates go out on time.Every planSite updates to the company and the clientEvery submitted site report makes two updates: a full one for your own people and a clean one for the client. The client one has progress and photos but never your costs, crews or notes. Each goes by email or WhatsApp, as a link or as a picture card, after a manager's approval if you want one. Weekly and monthly round-ups add up the days, and clients can comment.Every planWorkers, attendance and the muster rollKeep every site worker, your own and each labour contractor's, with their trade, pay and ID. Mark the day on the muster roll, or check workers in and out on the foreman's phone with the site's location. Punches can also come from a fingerprint device or the face kiosk. One attendance line a day per worker feeds the wages and the site report.Every planWage runs, advances, bank file and slipsPay site workers from their attendance. A wage run fills itself and works out basic, overtime, deductions and advance recovery. It goes for approval, then is paid by a bank file or in cash against the worker's signature. Wage slips print in each worker's language.Every planPiece work and labour contractor checksPay a worker or a gang for the work they did, not the days. Measure it against your piece rates, approve it, and the wage run pays each one's share. Check a labour contractor's bill against the man-days your own muster rolls recorded. From GrowthFace attendance at the site gateA tablet at the site gate recognises workers who agreed, and marks their day. The first recognition is the check-in, the last the check-out, with hours and overtime worked out. No photo is kept, and every worker's consent is on record.Scale onlyStaff paid by SmartMy HRMS payrollSite engineers and supervisors on your payroll are marked on the muster roll like everyone else, but are paid by SmartMy HRMS. Their site attendance becomes their HRMS attendance day, and the site wage runs leave them out, so nobody is paid twice. From GrowthWith SmartMy HRMS

Money

Building budget with 80 and 100 % alertsOne budget per project, by cost code and place, approved once and changed only by approved revisions. Costs from site flow into it every hour. The project manager is told when a line passes 80 % and 100 % used.Every planCommitments, forecast and over-budget checksEvery budget line shows what is already ordered or contracted, what is spent, what is still to come and where the line will end. A project purchase order that goes past what is left of its line needs a Construction Manager to confirm it.From GrowthBudget split by cost code, with split templates and the margin leftShare the contract or bid value out over cost codes by per cent, such as materials 50 % and labour 20 %. Start from a split template, change the shares for this job, and see the margin that is left. Apply Split turns the shares into the budget lines.Every planOver-budget check on site material requestsEach site material request shows what it will likely cost and what is left on its budget line, before anyone orders. A request that goes over is flagged for its approvers, with an approval chain of its own, or blocked until the budget is revised. From GrowthContracts over several projects, with the overall layerA job too big for one site, such as 1,000 apartments in ten blocks, runs as one project per block under one contract. The contract adds up the blocks: value, per cent done, budget, spent and billed, with a project for the shared works. From GrowthTender register: from the tender notice to a won projectEvery tender you might bid for sits in one register. It keeps the last day to submit, fee and EMD, documents, priced items and the split of the bid. The bid is approved before it goes, other bidders are ranked, and a won tender makes the project with its BOQ and budget.Scale onlyProfitability per projectOne row per project: value sold, budget, revenue from approved client bills and cost from the building budget. Cost is split CAPEX and OPEX, with committed, margin and budget used.Scale onlyCash flow planA month-by-month plan of money in and out for each project, filled from the budget, schedule, bills, wages and loans. Actual figures sit beside it, with the most money the project will need and when. From GrowthMaterial requests, orders, transfers and issuesSite staff ask for material from the site or the app, and a manager approves. The request becomes a purchase order to the site store or a transfer from another site. What arrives is issued to the work, a place or a subcontractor. Every order carries the project, cost code and place.Every planFree issue to subcontractors and material reconciliationMark material given free to a subcontractor as free issue. Then compare, per project and material, what the BOM needs with what was requested and issued, so wastage shows up.From GrowthCentral purchase through SmartMy TradeAn approved site material request goes to your purchase desk as an approved indent in SmartMy Trade. The desk compares suppliers and makes the orders there. Every order still belongs to the site: project, cost codes, place, budget check and receipt at the site store. From GrowthSurplus material salesSell what is left in a site store to a scrap dealer, another builder or the client. Fill the sale from the store and confirm it to make the delivery out of the store. Then make the buyer's invoice. From GrowthWork orders and subcontractor billsA work order to each subcontractor with items, rates and terms, approved before work starts. Running bills come from certified measurements. They take off retention, advance, back-charges and TDS, and become the vendor bill.Every planMeasurement book, retention and advancesSite staff measure each item's work by place, as Nos. x length x breadth x depth with photos; a manager certifies it, and only certified quantities reach the running bill. Retention is kept from every bill and released in one step, and the mobilisation advance is recovered bill by bill. From GrowthClient progress billsBill the client on the contract items. Each bill shows this bill, previous and up to date per item, the retention the client keeps and the advance taken back. It is approved inside first, prints as a progress bill, payment application or interim payment certificate, and becomes the customer invoice.Every planVariations, retention back and bank guaranteesPrice extra or changed work as a variation and send it to the client with its PDF. The client agrees on the portal, by signature or in writing. Then its items become contract items to bill. Ask for the client's retention back in one step, and keep every bank guarantee with a reminder before it expires. From Growth

Plant, schedule, quality, safety

8 features
Plant register, log sheets and servicingEvery machine on your sites, own or hired, with a daily log sheet of readings, hours, idle time, breakdowns and fuel. Confirmed log sheets charge the project, and servicing falls due by date or meter reading. Own plant can become a fixed asset, be rented out, sold or scrapped. From GrowthHire bills for hired plantEach month, every hired machine gets a draft vendor bill to its owner. It is worked out from the confirmed log sheets at the hire rate, with the minimum hours kept. A hire statement for any period sets what you owe against the owner's invoice. From GrowthSchedule, critical path, Gantt and look-aheadPlan the building as linked activities by place, with durations in working days. Schedule works out the dates, the float and the critical path, and a baseline shows every slip. The daily site report moves progress on, and the look-ahead shows the next three weeks. From GrowthMS Project and Primavera P6 import and exportBring the programme in from Microsoft Project (XML) or Primavera P6 (XER) with its work breakdown, dates, progress and links. Keep it up to date from the site, and send it back to the client or main contractor as a Microsoft Project file.Scale onlyChecklists, inspections and snagsInspect work at its place with your own checklists: pass or fail, measurements against tolerances, photos and the engineer's signature. Failed points become snags with a photo before and after, fixed by the crew or subcontractor and closed by your engineer. Material received at a site store gets its own receipt check.Every planInspection and test plans with hold pointsSet the inspection and test plan for each kind of work, with hold points, witness points, document reviews and your own checks. Inspection requests go by email to the client's engineer, the consultant or a third-party inspector. They record the result on a link, without a login. A later step at a place cannot be asked for while an earlier hold point there is not approved. From GrowthLab tests, non-conformances and the quality gate on billingTrack every sample from the pour to the lab result: cubes at 7 and 28 days, steel, soil, brick and water. Each is due on its date and passed or failed against its limits. A failed test raises a non-conformance by itself; a closed one charged to a subcontractor comes off their next running bill. With the quality gate on, work is certified for billing only when its hold points have passed. From GrowthSite safety: toolbox talks, permits, incidents, LTIFRRecord toolbox talks, issue permits to work through an approval, and log safe and unsafe observations. Incidents and near misses reach the project manager at once. Inductions and PPE are kept per worker, and each project shows its man-hours from attendance, lost-time injuries and LTIFR.From Growth
