Estimate request page
A public page, Estimate My Building, where people planning a building send their plans and a few facts. Each request becomes a plan estimate with its floors and an enquiry, and your Construction managers are told by email.

The problem it solves
- Plans arrive by WhatsApp, email and in person, and some are never answered.
- The first call is spent asking how many floors, how big and where.
- Requests are typed again into the estimating sheet before anyone can price them.
- A web form on your site sends an email and nothing more.
How it works
- Share the link /build/estimate on your website, social pages or WhatsApp. No login and no website app are needed.
- The visitor says what they want to build: type, package or finish, floors, total area, town and country. They attach up to 5 plan files.
- They give their name, email and phone, may tick No AI on my plans, and press Send for an estimate.
- A plan estimate is made with its floors (the area shared over them) and the plan files; DXF files are measured at once.
- The request lands on the open enquiry with the same email or phone, or on a new enquiry that the whole sales team sees.
- Your Construction managers get an email. They open the estimate, press Work Out Quantities and send the Rough Estimate.
Everything it does
The page
- Title Estimate My Building with your entity's name; works on phones, light and dark
- Fields: what you want to build, type, package (or finish when you have no packages), floors (1 to 60), total floor area. Then town, country, plans, anything else, name, phone, email
- Packages show with their rate per m² or sq ft; Not sure yet is allowed
- Plans: up to 5 files of 20 MB each, PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP or DXF. The page asks for DWG to be saved as DXF or PDF
- A line says plans may be read with an AI service and are not used to train it, and offers No AI on my plans
- Thank-you message after sending, with a link to send another
- ?company=<id> in the link for an entity other than the main one
What it makes
- A plan estimate marked Request Page, with the sender's address, the contact details, site, type, finish or package, the floors and the files
- Pricing by package when one was chosen, else by quantities and rates; your entity's units and range
- Anything else written by the visitor goes to the internal notes
- An enquiry with source Estimate Request Page and no salesperson yet, or a note on their open enquiry
- With CRM, the enquiry opens the opportunity
Against spam
- A hidden trap field that people never fill
- At most 5 requests an hour from one address
- File type and size checks; name, email and what to build are needed

Do we need a website for this?
No. The page runs on your SmartMy address at /build/estimate. Link to it from your own site, social pages or WhatsApp.Does the visitor get a price on the page?
No. The page collects the plan and facts. You work out the estimate and press Send, and the Rough Estimate PDF goes to them by email.Is the request read by AI on its own?
No. A manager presses Read with AI on the estimate. It works only if AI reading is on and the visitor did not tick No AI on my plans.What if the same person sends two requests?
