Notifications
SmartMy Construction tells the right person when something needs them. For example: the day's site update to the client, a report submitted, a budget line at 80 %. Or an incident on site, a request to approve, a payment due. Each event has its own recipients and channels: in the app, by email, as a phone notification, on WhatsApp or by SMS.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- The client hears about progress only when they call, and then hears different things from different people.
- A budget line runs past its amount and the project manager finds out at the month-end review.
- A near miss on site is reported a week later, if at all.
- When a client says they never got the update, nobody can check what was sent.
How it works
- Something happens: a daily report is submitted, a budget line passes 80 %, a variation goes to the client, a milestone falls due.
- The event finds its recipients: the project manager, the client and the people set on the project. Also the next approvers and the people invited to a slab casting.
- It goes by email and WhatsApp to clients and outsiders. Your team gets it as a phone notification, in the app and by email. Each gets it in their own language.
- Every message leaves a line in the Delivery Log. When it could not be sent, the line gives the reason, such as no mobile number or a WhatsApp template not yet approved.
- An administrator can switch an event off for everyone or for one entity, change its channels per entity, and change the wording.
Everything it does

- Budget Line at 80 % / 100 %: to the project manager when a line of the building budget passes 80 %. Again at 100 % used (committed and actual). Phone notification, in the app and by email
- Request Waits for Your Approval: to the next level's approvers, for every Construction chain. A phone notification if they use the app, otherwise email; always in the app

- Event Checks and Follow-ups Due: every morning, to each person with readiness checks or follow-ups such as curing or cube results. Phone notification and in the app

Logins and support
- Login Invitation: to someone given a login without an email address; by WhatsApp, or SMS if WhatsApp cannot reach them
- SmartMy Support Replied to Your Request and Your Support Request Was Closed: to who raised it; by email
Channels and delivery
- Channels: in-app, email, phone notification (push), WhatsApp and SMS, each only where the event has it
- Most events go on every channel they have; approval requests, logins and signing go on the first that works
- Phone notifications reach people signed in to the SmartMy Construction app, once it is published with our Firebase project
- WhatsApp needs each template approved by Meta for the sending number; until then the message is skipped on WhatsApp and logged, and email still goes
- Templates per event, channel and language, with your own wording if you want it
- Delivery Log: every message with its status and, when not sent, why; Retry and Cancel for administrators
People's own choices and quiet hours
- Each person can switch off a channel for themselves, such as email or WhatsApp; in-app notices always arrive
- Every Construction event is a work message: a person cannot switch the event off, only a channel
- Quiet hours per entity (21:00 to 7:00 to start with) hold back informational messages only; Construction events go out at once, at any hour
Not sent today
- No notice of its own when a material request, wage run or subcontractor bill is decided; the person sees it on the record
- No notice for snags, NCRs, lab test results, plant hire bills or a client bill sent. These show on the screens, the portal and the dashboards

Yes. Each person can switch the email channel off for themselves. In-app notices always arrive.Do notices wait for working hours?
No. Construction notices are work messages and go out at once. Quiet hours hold back informational messages only.Is the site engineer told when a material request is approved?
Not by a notice of its own today. They see the decision on the request, on the web and in the app.How do I check whether the client got the update?
Open Notifications > Delivery Log. Each message shows its status, and the reason when it was not sent, such as a missing mobile number.Related features

They go to the right people in order, set up without code. Every decision is kept with who made it, when and why.SITESite updates to the company and the clientEvery submitted site report makes two updates: a full one for your own people and a clean one for the client. The client one has progress and photos but never your costs, crews or notes. Each goes by email or WhatsApp, as a link or as a picture card, after a manager's approval if you want one. Weekly and monthly round-ups add up the days, and clients can comment.SITEDaily site report with auto-submitThe site enters the day once: work done by place, labour, material, plant, weather, issues and photos. A report still in draft at the project's cut-off is submitted by itself, so the company and client updates go out on time.MONEYBuilding budget with 80 and 100 % alertsOne budget per project, by cost code and place, approved once and changed only by approved revisions. Costs from site flow into it every hour. The project manager is told when a line passes 80 % and 100 % used.PROJECTS AND SET-UPKey events: slab casting, handoverBhoomi pooja, foundation pour, slab casting, topping out and handover run as key events. Each has readiness checks counted back from the day, bookings for ready-mix and pump, and invitations the client answers from a link. Curing and cube results follow by themselves.PLANT, SCHEDULE, QUALITY, SAFETYSite safety: toolbox talks, permits, incidents, LTIFRRecord toolbox talks, issue permits to work through an approval, and log safe and unsafe observations. Incidents and near misses reach the project manager at once. Inductions and PPE are kept per worker, and each project shows its man-hours from attendance, lost-time injuries and LTIFR.
