SmartMy Construction for contractors.
Questions contractors ask
Can we bill the way our contract asks?
Progress bills carry this bill, previous and up-to-date quantities with retention and advance recovery, as interim payment certificates and running bills set them out. Tax comes from your country's accounting set-up.
Can we stop paying a subcontractor whose insurance has lapsed?
Yes. A work order carries the insurance and licence dates, and its bills cannot be approved once they have run out.
Can we quote a villa from the client's plan?
Yes. Set up your packages, for example Classic at 2,000 per sq ft with its specification sheet. Add the client's plan and its floors, or let AI read the plan if you switch it on, and the estimate shows the package price, extras, and your cost and margin from your own norms. It prints with the specification for the client.
Can we pay a gang for the work it did, not the days?
Yes. Set piece rates for the work, measure what the worker or gang did, and send it for approval. The amount is split equally or by the days each one worked, and the wage run pays it.
Our engineers are on the HRMS payroll. Are they paid twice?
No. With SmartMy HRMS, a worker can be marked as an HRMS employee. Their site attendance becomes their HRMS attendance, HRMS payroll pays them, and the site wage runs leave them out.
We hire some plant and own the rest. How is each paid for?
Hired plant gets a draft vendor bill to its owner each month from the confirmed log sheets, with the minimum hours kept. Own plant can be a fixed asset, depreciated by the hours or km on its log sheets, rented out through SmartMy Rental when it is idle, and sold with an invoice or scrapped when it is old.
