Prepaid ticket balance for our fee
On the SmartMy cloud, SmartMy's fee on each paid ticket comes from a balance you top up. You see the fee beside every price, every fee taken in a statement, and you are warned before the balance runs low.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- A ticketing fee is taken out of every payout, and nobody can see it ticket by ticket.
- The fee is only known at the end of the month, after the event.
- Free school events are charged as if they were sold.
How it works
- Your account's administrator opens the SmartMy Subscription app. The Event tickets card shows the balance and the rates.
- Click Top up, choose an amount and pay the invoice. The balance is credited once the invoice is paid.
- Each paid ticket takes SmartMy's fee with GST from the balance when it is issued, online or at the counter.
- While a buyer pays, the fee is held; if the order lapses, it is let go.
- When the balance cannot cover a paid ticket, paid ticket types stop selling and free ones go on. The event shows why.
Everything it does
What is charged
- Per paid ticket: a percentage of what the buyer pays for it, a fixed part and a minimum, as your plan says
- GST on the fee, taken with it
- Nothing on free tickets, complimentary tickets, participant or stall passes
- Nothing on add-ons, stalls or sponsors
- Not given back when a ticket is cancelled or refunded
What you see
- Beside each price and early price: Buyer Pays, SmartMy's Fee, GST on the Fee and You Get
- On the event: Ticket Balance and SmartMy's Fee so far
- A yellow box when paid tickets are not on sale or the balance is low
- The same box when the balance would not cover the event if every limited ticket sold
- The Money report: SmartMy's fee and its tax
The billing page
- Event tickets card: balance, rates, this month's paid tickets and fees
- Statement as a spreadsheet for this month or last month: top-ups, and the fees per event and day
- Top-ups are invoiced and credited when paid
Warnings
- The billing contact is emailed once when the balance falls to the low level of your plan
- And once when it is used up, that is, it no longer covers one ticket
- A top-up above the level arms the warnings again
When our service cannot be reached
- Sales go on against the balance last known
- The fee is reported when the service answers again; the buyer never waits for it
- The rates and the balance are refreshed every 15 minutes
