Notifications
Buyers get their tickets, reminders and any change to their session. Organisers hear when a session sells out or sells slowly and when a stall application arrives. Messages go in the app and by WhatsApp, SMS or email, each with wording you can change.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- Buyers turn up on the old date because nobody told them the show moved.
- The organiser hears about a sell-out from an angry parent.
- A stall application waits a week because nobody saw it.
- A seller's cash is short and the manager finds out at month end.
How it works
- Nothing to set up: SmartMy Events comes with its messages, each with its wording for every channel.
- Buyers are told when they pay, the day before and on the day. They are also told when a session moves or is cancelled or a refund is made.
- Organisers are told when a session sells out or sells slowly. The approvers of a stall application are told when it reaches them. Organisers and event managers are told when a seller's closing differs.
- Each message goes in the app inbox. It also goes by the first of WhatsApp, SMS or email that reaches the person, where the message has that channel.
- Your administrator can change the wording and channels under Notifications, and read every message sent in the Delivery Log.
Everything it does
Messages to buyers
- Tickets of a Paid Order: the link to the tickets
- Reminder the Day Before and Reminder on the Day: from 8 a.m. in the Entity's time zone, with the gates opening time
- Session Changed or Postponed, Event or Session Cancelled, Refund Made (Growth)
- Waiting List: Tickets are Free, with the link and until when (Growth)
- Ticket Transferred to You: to the new holder (Growth)
- Invitation to an Event: to the families of the classes you invite (with SmartMy Campus)
Messages to staff and stall holders
- Session Sold Out and Session Selling Slowly: to the organisers (Growth)
- Counter Closing with a Difference: to the organisers of the events sold and the event managers (Growth)
- Stall Application Received: to the approvers of the level (Scale)
- Stall Approved, Stall Declined and Stall Confirmed: to the applicant (Scale)
Channels
- Buyer and stall holder messages: in-app, WhatsApp, SMS and email
- Messages to staff (sold out, slow sales, closing difference, stall received): in-app and email
- App push is built in for every message and comes on once the apps are in the stores
- WhatsApp and SMS need your organisation's messaging set-up
- Every message except the invitation goes out at once, at any hour. A person can switch off a channel, never the message. In-app notices always arrive
- The invitation is an announcement: people can switch it off. It is held back during the Entity's no-message hours. Its WhatsApp and SMS go only from your own sender numbers
Record
- Every message sent is kept in the Delivery Log with its channel and result
- Orders record when the reminders were sent

Questions
Can buyers stop the reminders?
They can switch off a channel, such as email, but not the reminder itself. In-app notices always arrive.Do messages go out at night?
Yes, except the invitation. Tickets, reminders and changes go out at once, as they matter close to the event. Can we change the wording?
Yes. Your administrator edits each message's template per channel under Notifications. Are organisers told by WhatsApp?
No. Messages to staff come in the app and by email. Buyers and stall holders can get WhatsApp and SMS.Is the ticket balance warning one of these?
No. A low or used-up ticket balance is sent by email to your account's contact, and shown on the event in a yellow box.Related features
