Placement reports for NAAC, NBA and NIRF

See the season in numbers, the students not placed and why, and each company and drive. The placement tables NAAC, NBA and NIRF ask for are built from the drives and offers you recorded. Download them in Excel or PDF, and publish the season's totals on a public page with no student named.
PLANSScale only

The problem it solves

  • Before the NAAC visit, the cell spends weeks building placement and higher studies lists for five years from old files.
  • Each department reports a different placement percentage, counted a different way.
  • Management asks for the median package, and the cell has only the highest.
  • Students who are falling behind are noticed after the season, when it is too late to train them.

How it works

  1. Run the season in Placement: drives, rounds, offers and joining, and students who opt out for higher studies or their own business.
  2. Open Placement > Reports > Reports and Statutory Tables, choose the season and the report.
  3. Click Show to see it on screen, or Excel or PDF to download it. Everything gives all the reports in one file.
  4. A faculty coordinator gets the reports about students for their own departments only.
  5. Tick Show the Numbers on the Public Placements Page on the season to publish its totals on your public page.

Everything it does

The reports

  • Season dashboard: students, registered, eligible, placed, and placed % of those registered and not opted out. Also not placed, opted out, offers, companies, drives, highest, average and median package. Also by programme, department and gender (as recorded)
  • Company-wise: each company with its sector, drives, registered, appeared, offers, accepted and packages
  • Student-wise: each student and where they stand
  • Applications and offers: each student's registrations, how far they went and the offer
  • Not placed, with gaps: no shortlist after the policy's number of drives (5 to start with), not registered, CGPA below the minimum, active backlogs. Also profile not verified, no consent, no resume, a no-show, training missed, a low mock test average
  • Drive funnel: eligible, registered, appeared, each round, offered, accepted, joined
  • Year on year, Sector and role mix, and Internship to pre-placement offer with the conversion %
  • Placement brochure data: the batch profile by programme with average CGPA, and past recruiters with students hired and highest package

Statutory tables (NAAC / NBA / NIRF)

  • Placement and higher studies per programme for the season and up to four seasons before it. Columns: final year students, placed, median salary, higher studies, entrepreneurs and the placement index %
  • Placement index: placed plus higher studies plus entrepreneurs, of the final year students
  • Students placed (the NAAC 5.2.1 list): year, register number, student, programme, employer, role and package
  • Students going to higher studies (the NAAC 5.2.2 list), from the opt-out reason and the details the student gave
  • Median salary is the yearly package of placed students

The public placements page

  • Per cent placed, students placed, offers, companies, highest and median package, the same per programme, and the recruiters
  • Totals only: no student is named
  • On for a season only when you tick it; the address is your web address with /placements/ and your college's number

The Placement dashboard

  • The first screen of the Placement menu: Drives coming, Registrations, Selected, Offers accepted, Offers by status and Applications by drive

Questions

How many years do the NAAC tables cover?

The table per programme covers the season you choose and up to four seasons before it, as far as they were run in SmartMy. The 5.2.1 and 5.2.2 lists are for the season you choose.

Where do the higher studies figures come from?

From students who opt out of placements with the reason higher studies, and the details they give. Entrepreneurship and family business count as entrepreneurs.

Can a head of department see only their students?

Yes. A faculty coordinator gets the dashboard, student-wise, applications and not-placed reports for the departments they coordinate.

Does the public page name our students?

No. It shows totals, packages per programme and the recruiters. It is shown only for a season where you ticked it.

Can we bring in past years from our old records?

Not as a report source. The tables count seasons run in SmartMy. Earlier years stay in your own files.

PLACEMENTPlacement season, drives and offersWrite the season's placement policy once, and every drive applies it. Students see the drives they may register for, and the exact reason for the others. The company gets its candidates by a link, rounds run with scanned attendance, and offers follow your one-student-one-job rules.PLACEMENTStudent placement profiles, verified and approvedEach student keeps a placement profile with skills, projects and resumes on the portal or in the Campus app. Marks, CGPA and backlogs come from the published results and cannot be typed. The placement cell or the department's coordinator verifies the profile, and more approvers can follow. Nothing is shared with a company until the student gives consent.PLACEMENTCompanies, job notification forms and trainingKeep the companies that recruit from your college, with their contacts, sector, ratings and agreements. Invite a company by a link: it fills in its job notification form on a web page, and approving the form makes the drive. Record training sessions, mock tests and mock interviews with attendance and scores.MORE IN THE PRODUCTAlumni records and eventsGraduates stay on record as alumni, with their register number, batch, programme, department and college. Keep them in alumni groups by batch, see where each group was first placed, and plan reunions and other events for a group.EXAMS AND RESULTSGrading, SGPA, CGPA and mark sheetsGrades and grade points come from your grade scale, and pass rules apply per paper. On publishing, each student gets SGPA, CGPA, credits earned and arrears. The semester mark sheet, a Statement of Grades, prints for the whole batch or one student.
