Emergency broadcast and muster list
Send one emergency to the whole society or only the towers affected, on every channel at once. Residents, guards, the office and the visitors and daily help inside are told. A red banner stays on every screen until the all clear, and the muster list serves the roll call.

Why it matters
In a fire or a gas leak, the office has minutes. A message in a group chat reaches only the people who are awake and looking. Warning all 400 flats for a problem in one tower causes panic in the others. SmartMy Society sends one emergency to the towers affected, on every channel at once, to residents, guards and everyone let in at the gate. A red banner stays on every screen until the all clear, and the muster list shows which visitors and daily help are still inside.
The problem it solves
- A fire alarm goes off in Tower C, and the office posts in the WhatsApp group while half the residents are asleep.
- Residents of the other towers panic because the warning did not say which tower.
- At the assembly point nobody knows which visitors, cooks and drivers are still inside.
- People hear the drill is over by word of mouth, and some go back in early.
How it works
- The office opens Visitors > Gate > Safety > Emergency Broadcast, or a guard presses Emergency on the guard page or the Guard app.
- Write the message; an evacuation message is filled in to start with. Choose the area: the whole society, chosen towers or blocks, or chosen gates.
- Tick who is told: residents of the area, all staff, guards, reception and managers, and the visitors and daily help inside. The screen counts the people and the visits before you send.
- Send Now tells everyone on every channel they have. A red EMERGENCY banner with the area shows on the resident portal and app, the gate screen, the Guard app and the kiosk.
- The office opens Inside Now, ticks the visits and prints Who Is Inside (Muster List). Take it to the assembly point and tick each person off.
- When it is over, the office or the guard who sent it gives the All Clear, with a message if wanted. Everyone who was told gets it.
Everything it does
Choosing the area
- Whole society: every resident of every flat, and every visit inside
- Chosen Towers / Blocks: the residents of the flats in those towers, and the visitors and daily help going to those flats
- Chosen Gates: only the visitors inside who came in at those gates
- Staff, guards and reception are told across the society whatever the area
- The area is written on the banner, such as EMERGENCY · TOWER C
Who is told
- Residents, All Staff, Guards, Hosts, Reception / Managers, Visitors and Daily Help Inside: all ticked on a new broadcast
- Residents are every active resident of the flats in the area, each on their own login
- Visitors and daily help get it on their mobile; every visit inside gets a note of the broadcast and of the all clear
- A count of people to tell and visits inside before sending; the guard confirms with Yes, send now
While it is on
- Red banner on the resident portal, the Resident app (Alerts > Emergencies), the gate screen, the guard page, the Guard app and the kiosk
- Visitors > Gate > Safety > Emergencies lists those on now and the past ones
- Each emergency keeps the message, area, who sent it and when, the people told and the visits that were inside
- All Clear: by the office managers, or by the guard who sent it; a default message if none is written
Muster list (roll call)
- Print > Who Is Inside (Muster List) on the visits in Visitors > Gate > Visitors > Inside Now
- Lists each visit inside: visitor, mobile, persons, the flat and resident visited, gate, time in, badge number, and an empty Accounted column to tick
- Daily help and work crews inside are on it, as they come in as visits
- Sorted by gate and time in, with the total of visits and persons and the time printed
- Residents and office staff are not on it: count them from your own register

Questions
Can a guard send it at night when the office is closed?
Yes. A guard sends it from the guard page or the Guard app and chooses the towers. They can give the all clear for one they sent. Can we warn only one tower?
Yes. Choose Chosen Towers / Blocks. The residents of those towers are told, and the visitors and daily help going to their flats. Staff, guards and the office are told across the society. Will residents get it if they switched off notifications?
Yes, on the channels they keep. An emergency cannot be switched off; a person can switch off only a channel such as email, and the in-app notice always arrives.Does the muster list include residents?
No. It lists the visits inside: visitors, daily help and work crews, with the flat they came to. Residents are not checked in at the gate, so count them from your own register.Which plan has it?
