Drawing register with revisions and sign-off
Keep every drawing of a project, from layouts and elevations to ceiling, electrical and joinery details, with its revisions R0, R1, R2. The client signs off each revision on their own page. Earlier ones are marked replaced, and the drawing shows which revision the site works from.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- The carpenter builds from R1 while the client approved R3 on email.
- Nobody can show which electrical layout the client agreed to when the switch points are argued over.
- Drawings sit in a designer's laptop folder named final, final-2 and final-new.
- Production starts before every drawing is approved.
How it works
- Open Interiors > Design > Drawings > Drawings and press New. Give a number such as KIT-EL-01, a name, the project, the room and the kind.
- Press New Revision. R0 opens; add the files (PDF or pictures) and What Changed.
- On the revision, press Send to Client. The client and their people on the team get Please Decide with a link to a page showing the drawing's pictures and files.
- The client approves or asks for changes. Approved, this revision is the one For Site and every earlier revision becomes Replaced. Changes asked, the person who drew it gets a to-do with the client's note.
- Make the next revision with New Revision. It is allowed only when the last one is finished, not in draft and not with the client.
- If the client signed a printed copy, press Approved in Person instead.

Drawing sets from the 3D design (Scale)
- Each issue of a 3D design's drawing set becomes a revision of the project's drawing DS, Design drawing set, with the PDF
- A draft revision waiting is reused; one with the client is replaced by the new one
- Issued for the client's approval, the revision is sent to the client at once; with no client contact it waits as a draft
Drawings and the stages
- The Production Design stage check: every drawing of the project approved by the client
- It fails with No drawings yet, or names the drawings not approved
- A drawing with a new revision in draft counts as not approved again
- The Design dashboard counts drawings to sign off

Questions
Which revision does the site work from?
The one in For Site: the latest revision the client approved. Earlier revisions are marked Replaced when a new one is approved. Can we start a new revision while the client is still looking?
No. Wait for the client's answer, or the change request, before making the next revision, so only one revision is ever with the client.Does it draw the drawings for us?
The register keeps drawings you make in your drawing tool. On Scale, the 3D design can make a drawing set from the model, which lands here as a revision. Is the client's approval a signature?
It is a recorded approval with the name the client typed and the time, on a private link. For a signed print, press Approved in Person.Which plan has it?
Every plan, from Starter. Drawing sets made from the 3D model come with Scale.Related features
DESIGN STUDIODrawings made from the modelFurnished plans, elevations of every wall, tile layouts, ceiling sections, ceiling and electrical plans come straight from the 3D design. They form a numbered drawing set with a cover, an index and a title block. Each issue is a revision in the drawing register for the client to sign off.DESIGNConcept rounds with mood boardsShow the client the look of each room, or the whole home, as a mood board with a palette and the idea in words. The client likes pictures, writes notes and approves or asks for changes on their own page. Every round is kept; rounds past those in the fee become a draft bill.PROJECTSProject stages held by roles, with checksEvery home moves from Site Measurement to Handed Over through stages, each held by a role such as the designer or the site supervisor. A project leaves a stage only when its check passes, for example the measurement sheet approved or every cut list made. The client reads in their app what each stage means.DESIGN3D designer with a price on every boxDraw the rooms wall by wall and put your own kitchen and wardrobe boxes on the walls. Each box shows in 3D with its materials, its price and anything wrong with it. The client turns the design on their phone, tries other material sets with their prices, and approves.PROJECTSDashboards: Sales, Design, ProjectsThree ready dashboards open first in Interiors. Sales and Design are for the whole team, and Projects is for managers. Every number counts only what the viewer may open, and a click shows the records behind it.
