SmartMy Feast tells the right person when something happens. A diner hears when the wallet runs low or an order is ready, and a parent when a child eats. A manager when a diet changes, a storekeeper when stock runs short or batches expire. Work messages go out at once; menus and reminders wait for your quiet hours.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- A parent finds out the child's wallet was empty only when the child comes home hungry.
- The cook hears of a student's new nut allergy from the student, at the counter.
- The cold room runs warm all night, and the morning shift finds out first.
- Diners forget to say whether they will eat tomorrow, and the kitchen cooks for everyone.
How it works
- Something happens: a wallet falls below its alert level, a meal plan is renewed, a booking is made, a fridge reading is out of range.
- The event finds its recipients. They are the diner, the parents on the diner's record, the outlet managers, the kitchen staff, the storekeepers or the approvers of a level.
- Each person gets an in-app message and the first message channel that reaches them, in the order WhatsApp, SMS, email. The Weekly Menu goes out on every channel.
- Work messages go out at once, at any hour. Reminders, polls, badges and the weekly menu wait for your quiet hours, and a diner can switch those off.
- Every message leaves a line in the Delivery Log, with the reason when it could not be sent. An administrator changes channels per Entity and the wording.
Everything it does
To diners and parents
- Food Wallet Top-up and Food Wallet Low Balance: to the wallet's owner, the diner
- Meal Plan Renewed and Meal Plan Not Renewed: to the diner, when the plan renews from the wallet or cannot
- Meal No-show: a meal confirmed and not taken
- Food Order Ready: a takeaway, pickup or delivery order is ready; in the app and by SMS
- Meal Served: to the parents, when the outlet ticks Tell Parents When a Meal Is Served
- Weekly Menu: the next week's menu, to plan members and their parents
Reminders that wait for quiet hours
- Meal Plan Ending: a plan that does not renew ends in a few days
- Meal Answer Reminder: meals of the next day not answered, a few hours before the cut-off
- Food Token Expiring: a token with meals or value left expires in a few days
- Menu Poll Open and Food Badge Earned
To the people who run the service
- Food Diet or Allergy Reported: to the managers of the outlets that cook for that diner
- Food Booked for a Customer: when a parent books food in the app or on the portal, to the people the outlet names
- Food: Meals Booked for the Day: each morning, the meals booked ahead
- Food: Meal Far from the Forecast: a meal served to more than 105 % or under 90 % of those it was cooked for
- Food Counter Sync Conflict: an offline sale recorded with a problem, to the outlet managers
Kitchen, store and purchase
- Food Temperature Out of Range and Food Safety Check Failed: to the kitchen staff and managers, at once
- Food Stock Below Reorder Level, and Food Batches Expiring within 3 days: to the storekeepers
- Food Purchase Order Overdue and Vendor Food Licence Expiring: to the purchase staff
- Kitchen Staff Medical Fitness Expiring: to the kitchen managers and the staff member, with SmartMy HRMS
Approvals
- Food: Promotion to Approve, Food: Meals on the House to Approve, Food: Purchase Request to Approve: to the approvers of the level
- Request Waits for Your Approval: for the other chains, such as indents, wastage and stock count differences
Kinds, quiet hours and choices
- Transactional events go out at once, also at night; a person can switch off a channel such as email, never the event

- Promotional: Meal Served, Weekly Menu, Meal Plan Ending, Meal Answer Reminder, Food Token Expiring, Menu Poll Open, Food Badge Earned
