Copy an event with its ticket types and prices
Start next year's annual day from this year's. The copy keeps the ticket types, prices, seat-map sections, terms, staff and more, with every date moved to the new first session.
PLANSScale only
The problem it solves
- Every year the same event is typed in again, and last year's prices are lost.
- Seat sections, staff and refund rules are set up from memory.
- Early-bird dates are copied but not moved, and the sale closes on day one.
How it works
- Open the event and click Copy (event managers).
- Type the new name and the date in First Session on. It starts a year on, on the same weekday.
- Click Copy. The copy opens as a draft.
- Its sessions keep their times and the days between them. Sale windows, early prices and promo codes move by as many days.
- Check the copy, give by-code ticket types a new code, and publish.
Everything it does
Copied
- Sessions, moved to the new dates, with their gate times
- Ticket types with their early prices and sale windows, moved
- Add-ons, the description, terms and refund terms, gates and staff, organisers
- Seat sections and blocked seats, on the copy's ticket types and sessions
- Promo codes, without their uses, with their dates moved
- Invitation classes (with SmartMy Campus), stall spaces and sponsor packages
Not copied
- Orders, tickets, refunds and the waiting list
- Stall applications and sponsors
- The codes of By Code Only ticket types: type a new one
After copying
- The copy is a draft; publishing runs the usual checks
- With SmartMy Facility, the venue is reserved for the new sessions when the copy is published
