Students rank their electives in a window, seats are allotted by first come, merit, lottery or by hand, and a choice that clashes with the timetable is refused. The credit summary checks who may graduate, and the consolidated grade card covers every semester.

Questions registrars ask

Can a student leave after a year with a certificate?

Yes. Multiple entry and exit with an award certificate is built, along with credit transfer from SWAYAM, NPTEL and other institutions.

What happens to an elective that too few students chose?

An elective with too few students can be withdrawn. You can also keep seats in an elective for students of its own programme.
