Shop pages, filters and product pages
Your shop gets a front page with category tiles, a page for each category with filters, and a full page for each product. Filters and sorting live in the address, so a filtered list can be shared.
PLANSFrom Growth
The problem it solves
- Buyers scroll one long list and give up before they find the size or price they want.
- Category pages have to be built and kept up to date by hand.
- Product pages show a photo and a price, and buyers call to ask the rest.
- A link to "our red kurtas under 1,500" cannot be sent, because filters do not survive a page reload.
How it works
- Make your categories in Website > Shop > Catalogue > Categories, each with a name, address, picture, parent and description.
- Give each product its Shop Categories, a Short Line, a description, Details and pictures in its Online Shop tab.
- Set the shop page in the editor's Site tab, Shop page group: name, line under it, banner, button words and products in a row.
- Buyers open /shop and see the banner, category tiles and featured products, then pick a category or search.
- On a category page they filter by price, in stock, on sale, sub-category and options such as size, and sort the list.
- They open a product page with everything about it, and add it to the cart or buy it now.
Everything it does
The shop page
- Banner with the shop's name and a button (Shop all unless you change it); without a banner picture, your product pictures make one
- Category tiles: a category without its own picture shows the first product picture inside it
- Featured products first, up to 8
- Four or three products in a row on wide screens
- Search across product names and descriptions, up to six words
Category pages and filters
- Categories inside categories, with a trail back to the shop
- Filters: price from and to, In stock, On sale, sub-categories, and each option (size, colour and so on) with its count
- Each filter in use shows as a chip with its own remove link
- Sort: Featured, Newest, Price low to high, Price high to low, Name A to Z
- 24 products a page
- Filters work without scripts and are part of the address; filtered and sorted lists are kept out of search engines
Product pages
- Pictures (the product's own and More Pictures, each with a description), name, Short Line and price
- Price Before struck through, with the saving
- Options as buttons, with sold-out sizes crossed out when stock is known
- Stock line: In stock, Only n left, or Sold out
- Delivery dates from your fastest delivery method, the delivery list and a PIN check
- Details table, size guide, Returns fold-out (Site tab text), reviews and questions
- Often bought together, related products from the same category, Customers who viewed this also viewed, Recently viewed
- Add to cart, Buy now, the wishlist heart and Copy link
Product cards
- Picture, name, price (From when variants differ), price before, Sale percentage, New for 30 days, Only a few left, Sold out
- Compare tick and the wishlist heart on each card

Questions
Can I share a link to a filtered list?
Yes. Filters, sorting and the page number are in the address, so the link opens the same list. Such lists are kept out of search engines so they do not compete with the category page. Can a product sit in more than one category?
Yes. Shop Categories takes several, and a parent category also shows the products of its sub-categories.Can I show products on my home page?
Yes. Add the Products from the shop section as a grid, swipe row, one big product or list. It shows featured, newest, one category or on sale. How does a product get the New label?
