Start from a finished website made for your kind of business, such as a cafe, clinic, school, salon or builder. It comes with pages, sections and sample words. Put in your name, logo and colours, and you have a site to change rather than a blank page.

The problem it solves
- A blank page and a hundred choices: the site never gets started.
- A general template has none of the pages your kind of business needs, like a menu, admissions or a price list.
- The colours of the template fight with your logo, and changing them breaks the look.
- You want a new look next year but cannot face rebuilding every page.
How it works
- A Website Manager opens Websites > New Website. The first step is Pick a design you like.
- Narrow the list by business type, by colour family or by searching, and sort by Top picks or Newest. Press Preview to see a design on a computer or a phone, then Use this. Or press Skip, start blank.
- Type the business or site name and choose the free address; the screen says whether the address is free.
- In Logo and colours, upload your logo and choose the design's own colours, colours taken from your logo, or a ready pair. You can also set the main and second colour yourself.
- In Pages to start with, keep or untick About us, Services, Why choose us, Questions and Gallery. They get sample words for your kind of business. Then Create site.
- The site opens in the editor. Nothing is on the internet until a manager publishes it.

- Designs for many kinds of business: cafe, restaurant, boutique, school, daycare, tuition, clinic, dentist, salon, spa, gym, yoga, hotel and stays. Also builder, property, car service, law firm, accountants, consultancy, agency, software product, app launch, charity, travel, jewellery, fashion and more
- Each design brings its own pages, sections, colour set, fonts, header and footer, and its own site settings such as smooth scrolling
- Scroll designs built on scroll story sections are among them
- Designs marked Top pick or New in the picker
Making the site yours at the start
- Logo: PNG, JPEG, SVG or WebP, up to 5 MB
- Colours: the design's own, from your logo, or a ready pair; or set the main colour (buttons and links) and the second colour (highlights)
- Text colour adjusts itself so it stays readable on the colours you chose
- Sample pages get words written for your kind of business: food, shop, learning, care, stays or professional services
- Where a design has drawn sample pictures, free photos are put in when the free photo service is set up on your subscription. Software screens stay drawn
Change the design later
- Design tab > Ready-made designs > Change the design: pick any design, then how much to take
- Only the look: colours, fonts, header and footer; your pages, words and pictures stay
- The look and its pages: also adds the design's pages your site does not have yet
- Start again with this design: your pages are replaced by the design's pages, after a warning; your name and logo stay
- Pages tab > + Add a ready-made page: take a single page, such as About or Prices, from any design

Will my site look like everyone else's?
It starts from a design, but you change the colours, fonts, header, footer, edges and every section's layout. You can also take the look of one design and keep your own pages.Can I switch to another design later without losing my pages?
Yes. Choose Only the look to take a new design's colours, fonts, header and footer while your pages, words and pictures stay.What if I pick Start again by mistake?
The editor asks before replacing your pages. If you did replace them, a Website Manager can bring back the last published version and publish it again.Are the sample words ready to publish?
No. They are written for your kind of business to get you going, but you should read and change every page before publishing.Can AI pick the design for me?
