Search free photos from inside the picture box and click one to put it on your page. New sites made from a design start with real photos in place of the drawn samples.

The problem it solves
- Your new site looks empty because you have no good photos of your own yet.
- You download photos from one site, resize them and upload them again, one by one.
- Nobody knows later where a photo came from or who took it.
How it works
- Click a picture on the page and open the Free photos tab of the Choose a picture box.
- Type what the photo should show, such as coffee, team or sea view, and choose Any shape, Wide, Tall or Square.
- Press Search, and More photos for the next set.
- Click a photo. It is copied into your site's pictures with the photographer's name, and placed on the page.
- Set its focal point and description like any of your own pictures.

Using a photo
- The photo is copied into your site, so it stays even if the photo site removes it
- It is named "Photo by <photographer> (Pexels)" or "(Pixabay)", so you always know its source
- Up to 20 MB, served fast like your own pictures
Real photos from the start
- A site made from a ready-made design gets photos that suit it, such as a coffee shop for the cafe design
- Up to 40 sample pictures are replaced; screens of software designs stay drawn
- Pages added from a design later get photos too
- The design gallery shows each design with photos, so you see what it will look like
Through SmartMy
- Searches go through SmartMy's photo service: you need no account or key of your own
- When the service is not set up, the drawn samples stay and a search says so

Can I use these photos on my business website?
Yes. They come from Pixabay and Pexels, whose licences allow use on websites without payment. Read their terms for uses such as logos or printed products.Do I have to credit the photographer?
Not required by those sites, but the name is kept with the photo in your pictures if you want to.Will other sites use the same photo?
They may. These are free photos open to everyone; use your own photos where it matters most, such as your team and your work.Why does the Free photos tab say it is not available?
