Brand kit: colours from your logo and your own fonts

Upload your logo and take the site's main, second and dark colours from it in one click. Upload your brand's own fonts for titles and text, served from your own site.
PLANSFrom Growth

The problem it solves

  • The site's blue is almost, but not quite, the blue in your logo.
  • Your brand font is used in print but the website falls back to a standard one.
  • Matching colours means asking a designer for colour codes.

How it works

  1. Open the editor's Design tab. The brand kit is at the top.
  2. Press Add your logo. It goes into the header.
  3. Press Take colours from the logo. The main, second and dark colours are set from it, and you can change any of them below.
  4. Under Your own fonts, press Upload a font and choose a WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF file.
  5. Choose what the font is for: Titles, Text or Not used. Publish, and the fonts go live with the site.

Everything it does

Colours from the logo

  • Main colour: the strongest lively colour of the logo, never white, black or grey
  • Second colour: a clearly different colour from the logo, not a shade of the main one
  • Dark colour: the darkest colour of the logo, or near-black when there is none
  • A logo that is only white, black or grey gives no colours; you pick them by hand
  • Making a new site, the colours are taken from the logo you upload there

Your own fonts

  • WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF, up to 3 MB each
  • One font for titles and one for text at a time; a new one moves the old one to Not used
  • Fonts are served from your own site, with no outside font service
  • Use only fonts you have the right to use on a website

Where you use it

Questions

Can I still change a colour after taking it from the logo?

Yes. The colours are a starting point. Change any of them under Colours in the Design tab.

Does my font load from Google or another service?

No. Your fonts are uploaded once and served from your own site with the published copy.

Why did my logo give no colours?

A logo that is only white, black or grey has no colour to take. Pick the colours yourself below the brand kit.
