Pay per item at the counter
The cashier scans the customer's card or picks the customer type, taps the items and takes payment. Prices, subsidy and taxes follow the customer type, the bill gets a number without gaps and the receipt prints on the counter's printer.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- The cashier works out the staff price and the student price in their head at the lunch rush.
- Hand-written bills cannot be checked against the cash at the end of the day.
- A wrong sale is torn up and nobody knows it happened.
How it works
- The cashier logs in on the counter tablet with a PIN and opens the Sell tab.
- They scan the customer's card or app QR. For someone without a card they choose the Customer type.
- They tap the items, or scan an item's barcode, and change quantities on the bill.
- The bill shows Total, You save, Company pays (the subsidy) and To pay.
- They tap one payment button: cash, UPI, card, wallet or another mode the customer may use.
- The sale is recorded with its bill number, the receipt prints and the cash drawer opens for cash.
Everything it does
Selling
- Items are offered only if they have a price for the customer type and are sold at the outlet
- Find an item by name, scan its barcode, or tap a tile again to add one more
- A customer can be scanned, typed in by code, or left out for a walk-in sale
- Tokens are sold from the same screen as items
- With Sell from the Session's Menu, only the session's menu and the All Day items are offered; an item off the menu needs a supervisor
- A dish marked sold out is not sold
Prices and checks
- Price list, subsidy and taxes come from the customer type and the outlet
- A sale is refused if the outlet does not serve the customer type, does not sell per item, or does not sell the item
- With Growth: the spending limits and blocked items of the customer, and red allergy and diet alerts
- Line and bill discounts within the cashier's limit, 5 % to start with; above it a supervisor's PIN
- Items on the house with a reason, approved by a supervisor or a Food Administrator
Payment and the bill
- One payment mode per sale on the Sell tab; several modes and part payments are for table bills (Growth)
- Bill numbers run without gaps per counter and restart each financial year
- The receipt lists the lines, taxes by name, the subsidy and the payment, on a network thermal printer
- A paid sale is never edited: it is voided or items are given back with a reason and a supervisor
- The Sales tab shows the counter's last 30 sales, to void, give back or print again
Dine-in and parcel (Growth)
- Dine-in or Parcel on each sale; Parcel adds the packing charge and uses the parcel price list if the outlet has one
- Only a supervisor can remove the packing charge

Questions
Does the cashier have to choose staff or student each time?
No. Scanning the card brings the customer's type and prices. For a walk-in, the cashier picks the type once. Can a cashier cancel a sale after printing?
Only with a supervisor's PIN and a reason. The sale is reversed, not deleted, and the bill number stays used. Can one bill be paid half in cash and half by UPI?
Not on the Sell tab, where one sale is paid one way. Table bills in Growth take several ways and part payments.Does the counter keep selling when the internet is down?
In Growth, yes, for up to 12 hours by default. In Starter the counter needs the network to sell.Which tablet and printer do we need?
An Android tablet and a network thermal printer. No named model is offered yet: we test yours with you before go-live.Related features
PAYINGCash, card and UPI paymentsTake cash, UPI and card at the counter, along with the wallet, tokens and the other payment modes your outlet allows. UPI shows a QR code for the exact amount, and every payment goes to its own journal for the day's takings.SET-UPCustomer types with their own prices and subsidyStudents, staff, visitors and the public each get their own price list, subsidy and ways to pay. The share your organisation pays is worked out on every meal and shown on the bill as "Company pays".COUNTERVoids, refunds and discounts with a supervisor PINDiscounts on a line or a whole bill need a reason and stay within the cashier's, supervisor's and administrator's limits. Voids and part refunds need a reason and a supervisor, who approves with a PIN on the cashier's own tablet.COUNTERBill numbers without gapsEvery paid bill gets the next number of its counter's series, such as MAINC1/26/000123, restarting each financial year. Tablets reserve blocks of numbers to number bills offline. Every unused number is listed as void, so the series has no holes.TABLE SERVICE AND KITCHENReceipts and token slips on thermal printersThe counter tablet prints receipts, token slips and kitchen tickets on network thermal printers that take ESC/POS. On cash sales it opens the cash drawer through the receipt printer. Printers are set up once in the back office and reach every tablet.COUNTERSelling when the network is downWhen the network drops, the counter tablet keeps serving and selling. It checks meals, limits and wallet balances from its own copy and numbers bills from a reserved block. Everything goes to the server in order when the network is back. Anything the server cannot take as it was goes to the supervisor as a sync conflict.
