Orders from delivery platforms
Orders from a food delivery platform arrive as paid orders of the outlet, billed to the platform's account. They go to the kitchen stations with the others. Each platform is connected with you during set-up.
PLANSScale only
Built and tested against our test server; not yet connected to a real delivery platform. Each platform is connected and tested with you during set-up.
The problem it solves
- A tablet per delivery platform sits on the counter, and orders are typed again into the billing system.
- Platform orders never reach the kitchen screen, so they are made late.
- At month end nobody knows what each platform owes against its statement.
How it works
- A Food Administrator adds one record per platform and outlet under Configuration > Customers > Online Aggregators. It says who is billed, the customer type, the payment mode and the commission.
- On Menu Codes, each of the platform's item codes is mapped to your item.
- New Token makes the secret code. The platform, or an integration service you use, sends each order to the outlet's order address with that code.
- Each order becomes a paid order of type Online Aggregator, billed to the platform's account. It is numbered in the outlet's aggregator series and sent to the kitchen.
- The platform can ask for the order's state and progress, and cancel it, which reverses the order.
Everything it does
Each platform
- Name, outlet, Billed to (the platform as a customer on account), Customer Type and Payment Mode
- Commission %: what the platform keeps, for your reports
- Use the Platform's Prices: on to start with; off uses your own prices
- Menu Codes: platform code and item; an order with an unknown code is refused
Orders
- Taken once per platform order id, even if sent twice
- The platform's customer name, phone and note kept on the order
- Kitchen tickets and receipts say ONLINE ORDER and PARCEL
- The state, progress and total can be asked for at any time; a cancel reverses a paid order
Who uses it

KitchenPrepares platform orders from the same screens and printers.
AccountsFollows what each platform owes on its account.
Where you use it
- Web: Food Service > Configuration > Customers > Online Aggregators, with Menu Codes and New Token
- The kitchen display and kitchen printers, as for every order
- Not built: a ready-made connection to a named platform. The order address takes orders in our own format, so each platform or integration service is connected with you during set-up
- Not built: accepting or rejecting an order from the counter, pushing menus or stock to the platform, or telling the platform when food is ready
What you control
Settings
- Billed to, Customer Type, Payment Mode, Commission %: per platform
- Use the Platform's Prices: on
- Menu Codes: per item
Questions
Does it connect to the big delivery apps by itself?
No. The outlet has an address that takes orders in our format. Each platform, or the integration service you use with it, is connected and tested with you during set-up.Do platform orders reach the kitchen?
Yes. They become kitchen tickets for the right stations, marked ONLINE ORDER, like any other order. How is the platform billed?
Each order is paid on the platform's account, as a customer on account. You match it with the platform's statement. What happens when the platform cancels?
The cancel reverses the paid order with the reason "Cancelled by" the platform. Food already started is handled in the kitchen as usual.Related features
