Form entries as CRM leads

Set a website form to also make a sales lead. Each entry then arrives in CRM with the name, email, phone and every answer, ready to follow up.

The problem it solves

  • Enquiries from the website sit in an inbox, and nobody knows who called back.
  • Sales people copy names and numbers from emails into the CRM, with typing errors.
  • You cannot tell how many leads the website brought this month.

How it works

  1. In the editor, click a form section and set Where entries go to Also as a sales lead (CRM).
  2. Publish. A visitor fills in the form.
  3. The entry is kept under Website > Form Entries, and a lead is made in CRM with the visitor's details and answers.
  4. The entry's Sales Lead field opens the lead. Your sales team works it in CRM as usual.

Everything it does

The lead

  • Named after the form and the person, such as "Contact form: Maya"
  • Contact name, email and phone from the form
  • Every question and answer in the lead's notes
  • Made in the site's Entity, as a lead (not yet an opportunity)

The form entry

  • Kept as well, with its answers and up to five files
  • The Sales Lead field links the two
  • The people who follow the site are told of each entry (Website Form Entry)

Which forms

  • Any form section where you choose Also as a sales lead (CRM); others stay form entries only
  • Newsletter and pop-up sign-ups do not make leads; with SmartMy Marketing they become Marketing contacts

  • Web: Website > Form Entries (Sales Lead field) and CRM
  • Not assigned to a salesperson or team by itself: share leads out in CRM
  • Files sent with the form stay on the form entry, not on the lead

Questions

Do we need CRM for website forms?

No. Without CRM, entries are kept under Website > Form Entries and the people who follow the site are told. CRM adds the lead.

Which SmartMy products bring CRM?

Website does not bring CRM itself. It comes with other SmartMy products in the same account, for example SmartMy Lease Growth or SmartMy Manufacturing.

Can I choose which forms make leads?

Yes. Each form section has its own Where entries go setting.

Are spam entries turned into leads?

Entries caught by the spam checks are not kept. An entry you later mark as Spam keeps its lead; delete the lead in CRM.
