Event pages from SmartMy Events

Your upcoming public events in SmartMy Events show in an Events section of your website, with dates, venue, lowest price and Sold out. The ticket button opens the event's page to buy.

The problem it solves

  • An event sold out yesterday, and the website still invites people to book.
  • Every new event means asking someone to update the website.
  • Google does not show your event dates in search because the page is plain text.

How it works

  1. In SmartMy Events, publish an event open to the public, with its ticket types and prices.
  2. In the website editor, add an Events section to any page and pick its layout.
  3. Set how many events it shows, the button words and what to say when nothing is coming up.
  4. Publish. The section lists the Entity's upcoming public events, and live sites are refreshed every hour.
  5. A visitor presses the ticket button and buys on the event's page in SmartMy Events.

Everything it does

The Events section

  • Layouts: dates in a list, cards, one big and the rest listed, a row that scrolls
  • How many: 3 to 12
  • The all-events button words, the ticket button words, and the words when nothing is coming up

What shows for each event

  • Name, kind, venue, start and end, cover picture and a short summary
  • The lowest ticket price on offer, or Free
  • Sold out when the event is closed for sale
  • Only events of the site's Entity, open to the public buyers, not yet over

Kept up to date

  • Every hour, live sites get the current events: new ones, sold out, finished
  • Each event is also described for search engines (date, place, price, sold out or not)

Questions

Do I need to publish the website after adding an event?

No. Live sites get the current events every hour. Publishing also brings them up to date at once.

Can visitors buy tickets on my website?

The ticket button opens the event's page in SmartMy Events, where they choose tickets and pay.

Do private events show?

No. Only upcoming events open to public buyers show on the website.

Will Google show my event dates?

Each event in the section is described for search engines with its dates, place and price, which Google can use for event results.
