Delivery methods and a PIN or post code check
Set your delivery methods once: a fixed price, free above an amount, pick-up, or local delivery to the PIN codes you serve. Buyers check their PIN on the product page and choose a method at checkout.

The problem it solves
- A buyer in another city pays, and only then do you find you cannot deliver there.
- Delivery charges are worked out by phone after the order.
- Buyers do not know when the parcel will arrive, so they ask on WhatsApp.
- Free delivery above an amount is promised on a banner but not applied at checkout.
How it works
- A Website Manager opens the editor, Shop tab, Delivery, and presses + Add a delivery method.
- They name it as buyers will see it, such as Standard delivery. Then they pick the kind: Fixed price, Free above an amount, Pick up from the shop or Local delivery (PIN codes).
- They set the price, the days it takes, and the countries or PIN codes it serves.
- The product page shows "Delivered in 2 to 5 days" from your fastest method, the delivery list, and a box to check a PIN.
- At checkout they choose a method; the price is worked out again by SmartMy and added as a line of the order.
- A method that does not reach the buyer's country or PIN stops the order with a clear message.

Kinds of delivery
- Fixed price: the same charge on every order
- Free above an amount: free at or above the amount, else the price
- Pick up from the shop: free, with the pick-up address shown at checkout and on the order
- Local delivery (PIN codes): only to the codes you list, by their start (5600 covers 560001 to 560099)

- Shown as: the name buyers see
- Price, and Free above for that kind
- Arrives in, from and to (days): 2 to 5 to start with
- Only to countries: two-letter codes such as IN, AE; empty means everywhere
- On or off; the order of methods
- Several methods at once; the buyer picks one
On the product page
- Delivery dates from the fastest method that is not pick-up
- A Delivery fold-out listing each method with its price and days
- Check delivery to your PIN / post code: shown when you have a local delivery method
- The answer names the methods that reach the code, or says you do not deliver there yet and offers pick-up if you have it
- The code is remembered in the buyer's browser and filled in at checkout
At checkout and on the order
- The delivery price is worked out by SmartMy, not the browser
- When methods exist, choosing one is required
- A Free delivery discount code makes the delivery free
- Amounts are in your entity's currency and converted when the site sells in another

Website ManagerAdds and changes delivery methods, prices, days and PIN codes.
Website EditorSees the methods in the Shop tab but cannot change them.

Questions
Can I charge by weight or get courier rates?
Not yet. Each method has a fixed price, free above an amount, pick-up or local delivery by PIN code. Courier rates and booking a pick-up with a courier are not built.How do PIN codes work?
You list the starts of the codes you serve, with commas. 5600 covers every code that starts with 5600. The buyer's code is checked on the product page and again at checkout.Can I offer free delivery above an amount?
Yes. Use the kind Free above an amount and set both the amount and the price below it. A Free delivery discount code also makes any method free.Can buyers collect from our shop?
