Supervisor for cash moves and differences above a limit
Each register has two cash limits. A cash in or out above the first, and a closing difference above the second, need a supervisor's approval at the counter. Below them a reason is enough.
PLANSFrom Growth
The problem it solves
- A cashier takes 5,000 out of the drawer for "expenses" and writes a reason nobody checks.
- A shortage of 800 at closing is explained as "counting error" and closed alone.
- Calling a supervisor for every 20-rupee difference wastes everyone's time.
How it works
- On the register's Control section the POS Administrator sets Cash Move Without Approval (1,000 to start with). They also set Cash Difference Without Approval (50 to start with).
- A cashier recording cash in or out above the first limit is asked for a supervisor under Supervisor (above the limit).
- At closing, a difference above the second limit, short or over, needs a supervisor as well as the reason.
- The supervisor approves on the cashier's screen with login and password, or with their PIN on a shared counter.
- The cash move or the session keeps who approved it, and the approval is listed under Counter Approvals.
Everything it does
The limits
- Cash Move Without Approval: 1,000 to start with; judged on the amount moved, in or out
- Cash Difference Without Approval: 50 to start with; judged on the difference either way
- Both are per register, in the register's currency
- A cashier who is a supervisor is not asked
What is kept
- Cash move: reason, note, amount, who made it, Approved By
- Session: Counted Cash, Difference, the reason (Why), Difference Approved By
- Counter Approvals: kind Cash in / out or Cash difference, amount, session, who asked and Decided By
On Starter
- No limits: a cash move needs a reason and a difference needs a reason, without a supervisor

Questions
Is an excess also checked?
Yes. The difference limit applies both ways: short or over by more than the limit needs a supervisor. Can we require a supervisor for every cash move?
Yes. Set Cash Move Without Approval to 0.What if the app has no signal?
The move or the close is kept on the device with the approval and checked when it is sent. A close that fails waits under App Conflicts for a supervisor.Which plan has it?
