Waiting list told when a unit frees up
Keep the people who want a home you do not have yet. When a matching unit becomes vacant or comes under notice, each of them is told once, by email and in the app.
PLANSFrom Growth
The problem it solves
- Good applicants are turned away when the building is full, and lost by the time a flat frees up.
- Agents keep their own lists in notebooks and call the same people twice.
- A unit sits empty for weeks while someone who wanted it was never called.
How it works
- Lease > Leasing > Finding Tenants > Waiting List > New: who, the property (or any), the unit type, at least how many bedrooms. Add the budget a month, when they want to move, a note.
- When a unit turns vacant or under notice, SmartMy looks for people waiting for one like it.
- A match is the same Entity, the property or any, the unit type or any, enough bedrooms, and the unit's asking rent within their budget.
- Each match is told A Home Is Free with the unit and property, and marked Told of a Unit.
- Call them, book a viewing, and mark the line Found a Home or Dropped when it is settled.
Everything it does
A waiting list line
- Who (a contact), property (empty: any), unit type, bedrooms at least, budget a month, wants to move by, note
- Status: Waiting, Told of a Unit, Found a Home, Dropped
- Filter Waiting
Matching
- Runs when a unit's status changes to vacant or under notice
- Budget is checked only when both the budget and the unit's asking rent are set
- A person is told once; set them back to Waiting to hear of the next unit
- Wants to move by is for your call; it does not filter the match

Questions
Can people join the waiting list from our website?
Not yet. Agents add them, for example from an enquiry for a unit that is already let.Are they told about every free unit?
Once. After the message the line is Told of a Unit. Set it back to Waiting to tell them of the next one.Does it hold the unit for them?
No. It tells them the unit is free; the unit stays open to anyone until a lease is made.Which plan has it?
