Unit board and stacking plan with status from leases
Every unit as a card, grouped by property, coloured by its status: vacant, reserved, let, notice given, not ready or blocked. Group it by floor to see a building floor by floor.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- You walk the list of 200 units to find the five that are free next month.
- A unit under notice is not offered in time, so it stands empty after the tenant leaves.
- The leasing team and the maintenance team each keep their own picture of which units are ready.
How it works
- Open Lease > Portfolio > Unit Board. Every lettable unit appears as a card, grouped by property.
- Each card shows the unit, its type, a coloured status badge, the area, bedrooms and bathrooms, and the asking rent.
- Group by floor, block, status or unit type to see a building floor by floor, or all units under notice together.
- Filter for Vacant, Reserved, Let or Notice Given, and search by name or code.
- Click a card to open the unit, or switch to the list view to export it.
Everything it does
The cards
- Unit name and unit type
- Status badge: green for Vacant, blue for Reserved, dark for Let. Amber for Notice Given and Not Ready, red for Renovation and Blocked, grey for Common Area and Owner Use
- Area with the area unit, beds and baths, asking rent a month or a year
Grouping and filters
- Grouped by property to start with; also by block, floor, status or unit type
- Filters: Vacant (with Not Ready), Let, Notice Given, Reserved, Lettable, Common Areas, Archived
- Search by unit name or code
- Kanban, list and form views; the property's Units button opens the board for that property
Where the status comes from
- Leases and stays: Reserved before move-in, Let while someone is in, Notice Given once a notice to vacate is served
- Blocked times: Renovation, Owner Use, Reserved (a hold) or Blocked
- Make-ready tasks: Not Ready until the last task is done
- Refreshed every hour and at each change

Where you use it
- Web: Lease > Portfolio > Unit Board
- The SmartMy Lease Staff app: Portfolio > Units, with a status filter (built and in testing, not in the app stores yet)
- Not a drawn stacking plan: the board is cards grouped by floor or property, not a picture of the building

- Grouping: by property to start with; change it on the board at any time
Questions
Is this a stacking plan drawing of the building?
It is a board of unit cards. Group it by floor to read a building floor by floor with each unit's status. There is no drawing of the building's shape. Can I drag a card to change its status?
No. Cards cannot be dragged, because the status comes from leases, stays, notices, blocked times and make-ready tasks.Does the board show units about to be free?
Yes. Units under notice show Notice Given in amber, and the filter of that name lists them together.Related features
