Door code per stay
A confirmed stay gets its own six-digit door code for its dates. The guest gets it the day before arrival and sees it in the app. It ends with the stay's dates, or when the booking is cancelled.

The problem it solves
- Keys are handed over at midnight or left under a mat.
- Every guest gets the same code, so past guests can still walk in.
- Nobody knows which code was given to whom.
How it works
- Confirm a stay. A random six-digit door code is made for the stay unit, from check-in to the planned check-out, for that guest.
- Key the code into the unit's lock and tick Sent to the Lock. Codes are entered on the lock by hand.
- The day before arrival the guest gets Your Arrival Tomorrow by email and in the app. It has the address, the door code and the guide.
- The guest also sees the code with the stay in the SmartMy Lease app.
- Cancelling the booking revokes the code at once. Codes past their end are marked used each day.
- Lease > Operations > Checks and Upkeep > Compliance > Access Codes lists every code: unit, what for, for whom, valid from and until, and state.
