Courses for Campus classes, sections and subject groups
With SmartMy Campus, a course belongs to a class and subject. Whole classes, sections or subject groups are enrolled and kept current as students join and leave. The subject's teachers become editors.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- A teacher uploads notes for 8B and then adds 42 students one by one.
- A student who changes section keeps the old course and misses the new one.
- Small children cannot find their way around a screen made for adults.
How it works
- On a confirmed subject group in Campus, a teacher with the Learn Author role presses New Course. This makes a draft course for that subject and class, with the subject group already enrolled.
- Or, on any course, set the Class / Term, the Subject and the Subject Groups. Their teachers become editors of the course.
- On the course's enrolment rules, add Whole Class / Term, Class Sections or Subject Groups.
- Students with a login are enrolled when the course is published and every night after. Those who leave the class or group are dropped, and finished ones stay finished.
- For young classes, tick Simple Look for Young Classes: big type and buttons, one lesson at a time, no side list.
Everything it does
