Campus lesson plans and homework in the course player
With SmartMy Campus, a teacher turns a lesson plan into an online lesson in one step. A lesson can also point to a Campus homework that the student opens from the player.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- The topic is planned in the lesson plan and typed again in the LMS.
- Homework sits in one place and the online lesson in another, so students miss one.
- Coordinators cannot see which planned lessons have online material.
How it works
- On a lesson plan in Campus, a teacher with the Learn Author role presses Make Online Lesson.
- An article lesson is made with the plan's title and text, in the subject group's published or draft course. A draft course is made when there is none.
- The plan's Online Lessons tab lists the lessons made from it, and the lesson's Lesson Plans tab shows its plans.
- To link homework, choose the Campus Homework on the lesson.
- In the player the student sees the homework's title and due date. Open the Homework takes them to their homework page in the portal.
Everything it does

- Make Online Lesson: kind Article, the plan's text as paragraphs, summary up to 300 characters
- Goes into the subject group's course: the published one first, else a draft

Homework

- The player shows the title and due date
- Open the Homework opens the student's own homework page; the hand-in stays in Campus
