360 views and the client's gallery
Make 360° views of the rooms in the browser and send each one on WhatsApp with a link that needs no login. Record a filmed tour with captions and a small plan, and show day and night side by side. The client's gallery keeps it all.
PLANSScale only
The problem it solves
- Renders go out as a dozen JPEGs on WhatsApp, and the client cannot tell which room is which.
- A 360° view needs a separate rendering tool and an upload to a viewer site.
- The client's family abroad wants to see the home, but the 3D page is heavy on an old phone.
- Walkthrough videos are made by an outside renderer and paid for per minute.
How it works
- In the designer, open 360° and Share. Walk to where a person would stand and look the way the view should open, by Day or at Night. Name it (Living from the sofa) and press Make a 360° view here.
- The browser draws the room all round in a second or two. It keeps the view with its own link: Open, copy the link, or WhatsApp.
- For a tour, open Tour, walk to the first spot, type a caption, Add this stop, and walk on room by room. Set the walking speed, the seconds at each stop, captions, the plan explainer and night.
- Press Play to watch it walk through the doors. Make the video records it at 1280 x 720 with the captions and plan drawn on it.
- Send the client's gallery: one page with the design's snapshots, 360° views and tour videos, and a link to walk round it in 3D.
Everything it does
360° views
- Made in the browser from the 3D model; no outside renderer and no AI credits
- 1024 pixels a cube side (1536 on Best), saved as one panorama picture with a 1200 x 630 preview for link previews
- Viewer at /space/pano/...: drag or pinch to look round, turn the phone, full screen, the design's other 360° views at the bottom
- Counts how many times each link was opened
- Work on any design, also one with the client or locked; making them changes nothing in the design
Filmed tours
- Stops with captions and chapters, moved or removed; how long each stays (2.5 s to start with)
- Walking speed 700 mm a second to start with; through the door between two rooms, a short fade where there is none
- Plan explainer: a small plan in the corner lights the room and draws the way
- Make the video: 1280 x 720 at 30 frames, MP4 where the browser makes it (Chrome, Edge, Safari), else WebM
- The video has its own link at /space/tour/... with chapters and Save the video
- Several tours a design; New Version takes the tours along without their videos
Day and night, and the gallery
- Day and night side by side: the same view by day and at night with a sliding handle. In the designer and on the 3D page
- The gallery at /interior/design/.../gallery: tour videos, 360° views, snapshots and Walk round it in 3D; its picture shows as the WhatsApp preview
- On the client's 3D page: Play the tour, Video, Plan while walking, Day and night, 360° and pictures
Limits of making it in the browser
- The video is as smooth as the screen draws: record on a computer at Balanced or Best
- Recording has been checked in Chrome; Safari and Firefox recording not yet tried
- Changing a tour's stops drops its video: make it again

- Web: the 3D designer, 360° and Share and Tour
- Links: /space/pano/... for a 360° view, /space/tour/... for a video, the gallery for the design; no login

- Not in the phone apps: the client opens the links in the phone's browser
What you control
Settings
- Per tour: walking speed (700 mm/s), stays at a stop (2.5 s), captions, plan explainer, at night
- The picture quality when making a view: Fast, Balanced or Best
Questions
Do the links ever stop working?
A link works until you remove the view or tour. Anyone with the link can open it, so send it only to the people meant to see it.Are these photo-real renders?
They are drawn from the 3D view with real lighting, as the client sees it on the 3D page. For photo-real pictures use Photo (traced in the browser) or the AI renders. Can I make the video on a phone?
Make it on a computer. The video records what the screen draws, so a slow device gives a jerky video.Has it been tried?
On our demo in Chrome: a 360° view made and opened without a login, a tour recorded as MP4 and played from its link. Not yet on a real phone or at a customer.Related features
