Style any heading or button on its own

The design sets how every heading and button looks, so the site stays consistent. When one needs to stand out, such as a bigger price or an outline button, style just that one from the text toolbar. One click takes it back.
PLANSEvery plan

The problem it solves

  • The one price that matters is the same size as everything around it.
  • Two buttons side by side look identical, so visitors cannot tell the main action from the second one.
  • Changing one heading on other tools changes every heading on the site.
  • After a dozen one-off changes nobody remembers what the design was meant to look like.

How it works

  1. In the editor, click the heading, text or button on the page.
  2. In the small text toolbar, press the paint palette button.
  3. Change size, colour, line up, thickness, font, letters, slant, button look, how it appears and whether it hides on phones.
  4. The change shows on the page at once and applies to that one element only.
  5. Press Reset this one to take it back to the design's look.

Everything it does

One heading, text or button

  • Size: as the design, smaller, bigger, much bigger or huge
  • Colour: as the design, accent colour, second accent, text colour, faded, or your own colour
  • Line up: as the design, left, centre or right
  • Thickness: as the design, normal, semi-bold or heavy
  • Font: as the design, the title font, the text font or typewriter
  • Letters: as written, CAPITALS or spaced out
  • Slanted
  • Button look (buttons only): as the design, filled, outline, soft or plain link
  • Appears: with the section, rises in, fades in, grows in, slides from the left or right, or never moves
  • Hide on phones

Inside the text

  • Text toolbar: bold, italic, underline, strike and link
  • Accent, marker and faded colour on a few words
  • Text sizes for a few words

Keeping the design

  • Every choice starts at As the design, so a changed element is easy to spot
  • Reset this one takes one element back
  • Changing the colour set or font pair later still reaches elements left at As the design
  • Site-wide looks (title style, button shape and fill) are set once in the Design tab

Questions

Will styling one button change the others?

No. The style applies to that one element. To change every button, use Button shape and Button fill in the Design tab.

What happens to my one-off styles if I change the colour set?

A colour picked as accent or second accent follows the new set. Your own colour stays as you picked it.

Can I make one heading appear with its own animation?

Yes. Under Appears, choose rises in, fades in, grows in or slides in, or never moves to keep it still.

How do I undo all my changes to one element?

Press Reset this one. It goes back to the design's look.
