My sections: save and share sections
Save any section you have made, such as an offer banner or a contact block, and add it again on other pages. Add it as a copy to change on its own, or as a shared section that changes everywhere at once.
PLANSFrom Growth
The problem it solves
- The same offer banner sits on eight pages, and changing it means eight edits.
- A section you spent an hour on is rebuilt from scratch on the next page.
- One page still shows last month's phone number because someone missed it.
How it works
- Select a section in the editor and press the save button. Give it a name.
- Choose how to keep it: a copy, or Keep every copy the same.
- On another page, press + Add section > Mine and pick it: Add a copy or Add shared.
- Change a shared section on any page, and every page that uses it changes too.
- To change one page on its own, press Make this one a normal section. That page gets its own copy.
Everything it does
Two ways to reuse
- A copy: added again anywhere; each copy is then changed on its own
- Shared: change it once and every page that uses it changes
- Make this one a normal section: turns one shared use back into its own copy
Keeping them
- Each saved section has a name and keeps its layout, words, pictures and look
- Saved sections belong to one site
- A shared section still on a page cannot be deleted; make those uses normal sections first
- Changing a shared section marks the live site as having changes to publish
Who uses it
Website EditorSaves sections and reuses them across pages.
Website ManagerPublishes, so a change to a shared section goes live everywhere.
Where you use it
- Web: the editor, the save button on a selected section and + Add section > Mine
- Not built: sharing saved sections between two websites
What you control
Settings
- Per saved section: name, and copy or shared
Questions
If I change a shared section, does the live site change at once?
No. The site is marked as having changes, and they go live with the next Publish changes, on every page that uses it.Can I use a saved section on my other website?
Not yet. Saved sections belong to the site they were saved in.Can I delete a shared section?
Only when no page uses it. Make each use a normal section first, then delete it.Which sections can be saved?
Any section you add to a page, such as a banner, a form, a price list or a gallery. It keeps its words, pictures and look.Related features
BUILDING THE SITEDrag-and-drop editor: type on the page itselfYou change your website on the page as visitors will see it. Click a heading and type, drag sections into order, and pick layouts from live pictures with your own words. Everything saves by itself, and nothing goes live until a manager publishes.BUILDING THE SITEFree layout sections: place blocks anywhere on a gridWhen no ready layout fits, a Free layout section lets you drag titles, text, pictures, buttons and shapes anywhere on a grid. Columns and blocks gives you up to four columns filled with ready blocks such as a countdown, a chart or opening hours.BUILDING THE SITEHeader and footer looks, mega menus includedThe header and footer are the same on every page and are changed in one place. Pick a header layout, make it glass or see-through over your first picture, and build dropdowns and mega menus. Footers come with link columns, a call to action, contact details or a newsletter box.BUILDING THE SITEPages, publishing later, versions and password pagesAdd pages and set who can open each one: everyone, only with the link, with a password, or members only. Publish now or at a set time. Every publish is kept as a numbered version you can bring back, and a secret test link shows your changes before they go live.SELLING AND MEMBERSBrand kit: colours from your logo and your own fontsUpload your logo and take the site's main, second and dark colours from it in one click. Upload your brand's own fonts for titles and text, served from your own site.
