Agreement clauses for the UAE, UK, India and Australia
Ready-made rental agreement clauses come with SmartMy Rental and SmartMy Sign. There are eight general ones and one or two for each of the UAE, the UK, India and Australia. They are drafts for your lawyer to check, and you add them to your agreement template as terms pages.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- Each depot uses a different version of the agreement, copied from an old Word file.
- The agreement says nothing about Salik, FASTag, penalty charge notices or e-tags, so fines turn into arguments.
- Writing standard terms from a blank page takes weeks of a lawyer's time.
How it works
- Open Rental > Sign > Configuration > Standard Clauses. The rental clauses are there, grouped by category.
- Have your lawyer read the clauses for your country and edit the wording. Each one ends with "Draft: check with your lawyer before use."
- Open your rental agreement template under Rental > Sign > Configuration > Templates and pick the clauses under Terms Added.
- Every agreement sent from that template gets the clauses as terms pages at the end. When sending one agreement, you can change the clauses for that customer.

They are 997311 for hire without a driver and 996601 for hire with a driver or operator. GST returns and e-invoices then carry the code.TOLLS AND FINESTolls and fines matched to the renterTolls, speeding, parking and other notices come in by plate and time, one by one or from the operator's file. SmartMy finds the hire the car was on at that moment. It charges the customer with your admin fee, on the next bill or at once by saved card or pay link.BILLING AND PAYMENTSDeposits taken, topped up, used and refundedEvery confirmed hire that asks for a deposit gets its own deposit record, held on a liability account. You take it, top it up, use it for what the customer owes and refund the rest. The order cannot be closed while money is still held.WITH OTHER SMARTMY PRODUCTSVehicle tracking while on hireWith SmartMy Transit and a GPS tracker in the car, Where Is It shows a car's last position on a map.
