Dashboards: My Work, Delivery and Money
Three ready dashboards open first in the Projects app. My Work is for everyone, and Delivery and Money are for managers. Every number counts only what the viewer may open, and a click shows the records behind it.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- Each Monday someone builds the project status sheet by hand, and it is out of date by Tuesday.
- People open five screens to find their late tasks and their hours for the week.
- Managers learn a project is off track, or a week waits for approval, only when someone asks.
- Billing waits because nobody sees the approved hours that were never invoiced.
How it works
- Open the Projects app. The first menu is the dashboard: My Work for every Projects user, Delivery Dashboard and Money Dashboard for managers.
- Each tile and chart is counted as you. A team member sees their own work; a manager sees every project they may open.
- Pick the date range. Tiles compare with the period before, such as this month against last month.
- Click a tile, a bar or a slice to open the records behind it.
- Press edit to drag and resize items on the grid, or to add, change and remove them. The layout you set is yours alone.
- Make a private copy to build your own, or set one as your dashboard.
Everything it does
My Work (every Projects user)
- My open tasks, my late tasks, due this week
- My hours this week, my hours by day (with a sparkline)
- My tasks by stage (chart), my weeks sent back
Delivery Dashboard (managers)
- Running projects, at risk or off track, late tasks, weeks to approve
- Projects by health (pie), open tasks by project (bar)
- Hours logged (sparkline)
- Over-allocated people this week (Growth, with capacity)
Money Dashboard (managers)
- Billing runs to approve, to invoice, approved hours not billed, invoiced, billed by client (Growth)
- Expenses waiting (Growth)
- Budgets to approve, cost this month, revenue this month (Scale)
- In Starter it has nothing to show yet: its tiles come with billing, expenses and budgets
What you can do on a dashboard
- Date range, refresh and auto-refresh
- Edit mode: drag and resize items on a 12-column grid, saved as your own layout
- Add items: a number tile, a chart, a list, or your activities. A tile shows count, sum, average, minimum or maximum, with a target and trend. A chart can be bar, line, area, pie or doughnut
- A live preview while you set up an item
- Make a private copy; set as my dashboard
Sharing and access
- Every number follows the viewer's access: nobody sees a count of records they could not open
- Tiles of features your plan does not have are left out
- Every user can build private dashboards; administrators share dashboards with groups or named people
- Shared dashboards also show in the Dashboard app, with every product's dashboards

Questions
Will a team member see company-wide numbers?
No. Every number is counted as the person looking. A team member sees their own projects and work; the Delivery and Money dashboards are for managers. Can we add our own tiles?
Yes. In edit mode add a number, a chart or a list on any data you can see, with a filter and a date field. Make a private copy first if you do not want to change the shared one. What does the Money Dashboard show in Starter?
Nothing yet. Its tiles count billing runs, expenses and budgets, which come with Growth and Scale. Can we export a dashboard?
Not as a file. Click a tile to open its records, then export the list from there.Which plan has it?
Every plan. The tiles you see grow with the features of your plan.Related features
