Course packages to move a course between databases
Export Package turns a course into one zip with its sections, lessons, files and quizzes. Import it in another Entity or another SmartMy Learn database as a new draft course.
PLANSEvery plan
The problem it solves
- A group's head office builds a course, and each school or branch rebuilds it by hand.
- A trainer who serves several clients copies lessons one at a time.
- Moving a course loses its quizzes or its order of lessons.
How it works
- On the course, press Export Package (the author, an editor or a Learn Manager). You get a zip.
- In the other place, open Learn > Manage Courses > Courses > Import a Course Package. Choose the zip, the Entity, and a new title if you want one.
- Press Import. A new draft course opens with everything in it; its files go into that Entity's storage.
- Lessons of a kind that place does not have are left out and listed on the course.
- Check it, set who learns and publish.
