Digital vehicle inspections with pass, attention and fail
Technicians go through a checklist on the phone or web, marking each item pass, attention or fail, with measurements and photos. Items that need work become recommended work in one click. The customer sees the lights, notes and photos on their job page.
PlansFrom Growth
The problem it solves
- Inspections are a tick sheet nobody reads, and the customer never sees what was found.
- Tyre tread and brake pads are "OK" or "not OK" depending on who looked.
- Work found in the inspection is not quoted, so it is neither done nor sold.
- The customer does not believe the brakes are worn without a photo.
How it works
- 01
Open a checked-in job card and click Inspect. The template that fits the vehicle and the services is picked, else the branch's default.
- 02
The technician clicks Start, and the job card moves to Inspection. Each item gets a light, a measurement, a choice or a note, with photos and "What you saw, for the customer".
- 03
A measurement sets its light from the limits, for example tyre tread under 3 mm is attention and under 1.6 mm is fail.
- 04
Click Recommend Work to turn every attention or fail item with a product into work found, or recommend items one by one. They are approved like any work found.
- 05
Write the summary and click Done. The inspection is locked, the customer gets Inspection Ready with the link, and Print makes the report.
Everything it does
Templates
- Sections and items. Each item is Pass / Attention / Fail, Measurement, Choice (each answer with its light) or Note. A Measurement has a unit, attention and fail limits, and Lower Is Worse or Higher Is Worse
- Per item: required, How to Check, Applies To (every vehicle, fuel engines only, electric only), the service or part to recommend and its quantity
- Per template: branch, vehicle type (car or bike), vehicle categories, and services it is for
- Picked by fit: a matching service first, then the category, then the vehicle type; else the branch's Default Inspection
- Ready to use: "Standard multi-point inspection" with 26 items in six sections. They are Under the Bonnet; Tyres and Brakes; Lights, Wipers and Horn; Underbody and Steering; Inside the Vehicle; Remarks
An inspection
- Status: To Do, In Progress, Done, Cancelled; technician, started, done and done by
- Counts: Passed, Attention, Failed, Not Answered, Recommended; overall result
- Each item: light (Pass, Attention, Fail or Not Applicable), measured value (a 0 counts as an answer), choice, notes, photos
- Done needs every required item answered; the checklist cannot change once started
- Locked when done; Reopen to change an answer; Cancel to drop it
- An item declined on the last visit is marked "Declined Last Time"

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can we use our own checklist?
Yes. Copy the standard one or make your own templates with sections, items, limits and the work to recommend. Make different ones for bikes, electric vehicles or a pre-purchase check.
Does the customer see the photos?
Yes. The finished inspection is on their job page with its lights, measurements, notes and photos, for that job card only.
What happens to an item that fails?
Recommend it. It becomes work found on the estimate and follows the customer's standing approval, or waits for them to approve it.
Can an inspection be changed after it is done?
Only after Reopen. A finished inspection is locked until it is reopened.
Which plan has it?
Growth, Scale and Enterprise.

Standing approval for work found: ask each time, up to an amount, or fix everythingEvery plan
At check-in, ask the customer what to do when your technicians find more work. Ask each time, go ahead up to an amount, or fix everything. Work found then waits for them or is approved at once, and each line says how.
Estimates approved or declined line by lineEvery plan
Build the estimate from your services and parts, priced and taxed. The customer approves or declines each line in person, by phone, by message, or on their job page with a typed signature. Each line keeps how it was decided, when, and who recorded it.
Declined work brought back, and follow-ups on estimatesFrom Growth
Work a customer declined comes back on the vehicle's next job card, to propose again at today's price or mark as not needed. Estimates left waiting, and work declined on a finished visit, are followed up after the days you set. The customer gets a message and the advisor a call to-do.
