Your Meta catalogue in WhatsApp

Send your products to the Meta catalogue of your WhatsApp number, every night by themselves. Share products in the chat. A WhatsApp cart the customer sends arrives as a chat cart at your prices, ready for the payment link.
PLANSFrom Growth

The problem it solves

  • Customers ask "what do you have?" and you send twenty photos one by one.
  • The catalogue on WhatsApp shows last month's prices because nobody updated it.
  • An order placed from the WhatsApp cart has to be retyped before you can ask for payment.

How it works

  1. In Meta Commerce Manager, make a catalogue and connect it to your WhatsApp number.
  2. In SmartMy, open the number under Configuration > Channels > Numbers and Accounts, enter the Meta Catalogue Id and press Send Products to Meta.
  3. Every product marked Sell in Chat with a picture goes to Meta with its name, description and price. It is sent again every night.
  4. In a conversation, press Send Products, choose up to 30 products and send them as one product card or a list.
  5. The customer adds items in WhatsApp and sends the cart. It arrives as a message and as a draft chat cart at your prices.
  6. Check the cart and press Send Payment Link.

Everything it does

What goes to Meta

  • Products with Sell in Chat and In the WhatsApp Catalogue (on unless you untick it), for sale, of the number's Entity
  • Only products with a picture: Meta needs one
  • Name (150 characters), description, price and currency, and a product page of its own with its picture; no website needed
  • Sent again every night; Products Sent to Meta shows when, Catalogue Problem shows what Meta refused
  • With Inventory, a stocked product with nothing free to sell goes as out of stock; otherwise as in stock
  • Brand: the name of the number's Entity

Sending products in the chat

  • Send Products in the conversation's menu, on WhatsApp numbers with a catalogue
  • One product shows as a single product card; more show as a list with a Title ("Our products") and your text ("Have a look:")
  • Up to 30 products in one message
  • Only within 24 hours of the customer's last message; after that, send a template first

Orders from the WhatsApp cart

  • The order arrives in the inbox as a message listing the items and any note
  • A draft chat cart is made with your current prices, not the prices in the message
  • A note in the chat asks you to check it and send the payment link

Questions

Do we need a website for the catalogue?

No. SmartMy makes a simple product page for each product, which Meta needs as the product link.

Will Meta show out-of-stock items as available?

Not with Inventory: a stocked product with nothing free to sell goes as out of stock, sent every night. Without Inventory every product goes as in stock, so untick In the WhatsApp Catalogue on one that ran out.

Can a customer pay inside WhatsApp?

They send their cart in WhatsApp; you check it and send a payment link, which they pay on the provider's page.

Is it live today?

It connects once Meta approves SmartMy's app in App Review. It has not yet run on a real catalogue, and we test it with you before go-live.
