Staff app
Work without signal, sent in order when back online
Workshops, basements and car parks often have no signal. The staff app keeps your work on the phone, in the order you did it and with the time you did it. It sends it when the signal is back. Nothing is lost when the office refuses a step.

The problem it solves
- A technician cannot start a timer in the bay because the network drops.
- An advisor checks a car in at the gate and loses the photos when the app times out.
- Work typed again later carries the wrong time, so labour hours are wrong.
How it works
- 01
Open the app with signal before going where there is none, so it saves the latest board, job cards and lists.
- 02
Work as usual. The bar says "No signal: saved on the phone, sent when there is signal." and items show Not sent.
- 03
A new vehicle or job card made without signal is marked Not sent yet and can be used at once.
- 04
When the signal is back, the app sends everything by itself, in order, with the time each step was done. Send now does it at once.
- 05
If the office refuses a step, sending stops there with "Not saved: ..." and the reason. Retry sends it again; Discard drops that one step and sends the rest.
Everything it does
Technicians, without signal
- Start, pause and finish tasks, at the time tapped
- Readings and photos, damage, holds
- Answer, start and finish an inspection (Growth)
- Issue and return parts (Growth); parts show the stock as last seen
Advisors, without signal
- A new vehicle and job card; check-in with photos
- A decision given in person; delivery when nothing is left to pay
- Appointments: book, confirm, move, cancel, no-show and Arrived (Growth)
- Enquiries: create and move; service reminders: remind, book, not needed (Growth)
- Issue approved parts and add a part to the estimate (Growth)
- Start a supplier claim, ask for a van refill, start or change an insurance claim and add its documents (Scale)
What needs signal
- Invoices and payments, tap to pay, deposits and counter items
- A delivery with something left to invoice or pay; a decision given by phone or message
- Adding estimate lines and moving a job card to another stage
- Transfers, ordering parts, loading a van, the steps of a supplier or insurance claim, selling or paying a contract
How sending works
- Each step is sent once, even if the phone sends it twice
- Steps older than 7 days are refused: send your work within a week
- The phone's temporary ids are replaced by the office's and kept across restarts
- A vehicle or job card made twice gets the existing one back
- "N changes saved on the phone" in the bar; Not sent badges on the board, appointments, enquiries and the job card
Who uses it
Where you use it
- The SmartMy Garage app (built and in testing, not in the app stores yet)
- Not on the web: the back office needs a connection
What you control
Settings
- Nothing to set: work is kept on the phone whenever there is no signal
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Will timers show the right time if they are sent later?
Yes. Each step is sent with the time it was done, so labour hours are counted from when the technician tapped.
What if two people change the same job card without signal?
Steps are sent in order. If the office refuses one, sending stops there with the reason, and you choose Retry or Discard. Nothing after it is lost.
Can we invoice without signal?
No. Invoices and payments are made by the office, with taxes, insurer shares and packs, so they need signal.
How long can work stay on the phone?
Send it within 7 days. Older steps are refused.

The staff app for phones and tabletsEvery plan
The SmartMy Garage app puts the job card in your team's hands at the car. Check in with the camera, mark damage on a car outline, scan the VIN, run tasks with timers, invoice and deliver. It runs on Android and iPhone, phones and tablets.
Check-in with odometer, fuel or battery, photos, belongings, consent and signatureEvery plan
Record how each car arrived before anyone touches it. Take the odometer, the fuel or battery level, a dashboard photo and the walk-around photos your branch asks for. Note what was left inside, test drive consent and what to do about work found, and get the customer's signature.
Tasks per mechanic with Start, Pause and Done timersEvery plan
Each approved service becomes a task for a technician, planned from its standard hours. Technicians press Start, Pause and Done on the web or their phone, one timer at a time. You see each person's tasks, the workload and the hours worked against the hours planned.
Readings that cannot be edited, and the car's timeline of km and fuelEvery plan
At check-in, vehicle out, vehicle back and delivery, the odometer, fuel or battery level and a dashboard photo are recorded with who and when. Once saved, nobody on your staff can change them. A lower odometer needs a note and is flagged, and the job card adds up the km driven while the car was with you.
Digital vehicle inspections with pass, attention and failFrom Growth
Technicians go through a checklist on the phone or web, marking each item pass, attention or fail, with measurements and photos. Items that need work become recommended work in one click. The customer sees the lights, notes and photos on their job page.
