Several branches (entities) in one account
Run every workshop of your business in one SmartMy Garage account. Each branch is an Entity with its own numbering, settings, stock and books. Staff work only in their branches, and the owner sees them together.
PlansEvery plan
The problem it solves
- Each workshop has its own software, and the owner adds up spreadsheets at month end.
- Staff of one branch can see the customers and money of another.
- Two branches number their job cards the same way, and nobody can tell them apart.
How it works
- 01
Add each workshop as an Entity under Settings > Users & Entities, with its name, address, tax number, currency, logo and time zone.
- 02
Give each person the branches they may work in on their user. A person allowed in one branch sees nothing of the others.
- 03
Switch to a branch at the top right and set its Garage settings, such as photos, warranty, storage and messages.
- 04
Each branch numbers its own job cards, keeps its own bays, stages and registers, and takes its own payments.
- 05
Tick several branches in the switcher to see the dashboard and reports together. In Enterprise, head office compares the branches and they send parts and cars to each other.
Everything it does
What belongs to each branch
- Job cards with their own numbering, vehicles, bays and stages
- Garage settings: photo sets, test drive limit and alerts, warranty, deliver only when paid, storage, the job page link, messages
- Approval chains, made per branch and copied from the parent when a branch is made
- Growth: registers, opening hours, booking page, floor TV boards
- Scale: parts store and vans, the branch's books and taxes
- Online payment through the branch's own payment provider
Who sees what
- Staff see only the job cards, vehicles and tasks of their branches, on the web and in the app
- A role, such as Workshop Manager, applies in every branch the person is allowed in
- Enterprise: a read-only Head Office role for every branch it is allowed in
Seeing the group
- The dashboard and reports count every branch you tick
- Scale: accounting reports for one branch or several together, consolidated
- Enterprise: branch scorecards, Compare Branches and Trends; parts and cars between branches; franchise royalties
How branches are counted
- One branch is in each plan; each further branch is an Extra branch of your plan
- Enterprise (Chain) is agreed with you, from five branches
- Staff accounts are for the whole account, not per branch: 3 Starter, 8 Growth, 20 Scale
Who uses it
Where you use it
- Web: Settings > Users & Entities, and the branch switcher at the top
- The SmartMy Garage app: work in your allowed branches; other branches' records are refused (built and in testing, not in the app stores yet)
- Customer pages: a group with several branches asks the customer to choose the branch on the booking page
- Not built: a different role in each branch; a role applies in every branch the user is allowed in
What you control
Settings
- Per branch: name, address, tax number, currency, logo, time zone and its Garage settings
- Per user: the branches they may work in
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do we pay per branch?
Yes. One branch comes with each plan, and each further branch is an Extra branch of the same plan. A group of five or more is agreed with you on Enterprise.
Can a manager work in two branches?
Yes. Allow them in both and switch, or tick both to see them together. Their role applies in both.
Can branches have different settings?
Yes. Photo sets, warranty, storage, messages, appointments and the rest are set per branch.
Can branches send parts to each other?
In Enterprise, yes: request, approve, ship and receive, with the supplying branch's approval chain. Below Enterprise, branches do not exchange parts in the system.

Head office scorecards across branchesEnterprise only
Head office sees one scorecard per branch and month. It shows job cards, revenue split into labour and parts, average repair order, labour efficiency, comeback rate and approval rate. Compare branches for any dates with a group total, follow the trends, and give head office staff a role that only reads.
Parts and cars moved between branchesEnterprise only
A branch short of a part asks another branch for it. The supplying branch approves and ships, and the asking branch receives, with lots and serials. The job card waits until the parts arrive. A car can also go to another branch's workshop, such as the group's body shop, with the work charged back.
Approval chainsFrom Growth
What staff must approve goes through one approval engine. That is counter authorisations from Growth, changes to fixed assets in Scale, and parts requests between branches in Enterprise. You set who approves, per branch, without code, and every decision is kept with who made it and why.
DashboardsEvery plan
SmartMy Garage opens on a ready dashboard. It counts cars in the workshop, waiting for approval, ready and delivered, with charts of jobs by stage and billing by kind of job. Each number is counted for the person looking, for the branches they work in.
Full accountingFrom Scale
Job card invoices, the insurer's and the customer's invoices, fleet invoices, counter sales and payments post into your books on every plan. Scale adds supplier bills from parts purchases and the full accounting screens and reports. These run from ledgers to cash flow and consolidated branches, with GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B for India.
Franchise agreements and monthly royalty statementsEnterprise only
Keep each franchisee's agreement: royalty %, on labour, parts or both, a minimum monthly royalty and a marketing fund. Every month a statement is worked out from the franchisee's invoices, refunds and counter sales, topped up to the minimum. It is invoiced to them in one click.
