Dealer stock ledger, stock cover and suggested reorder
Each dealer's stock of your items as a ledger, with its damaged and expired goods. See how many days of sales it holds, and the reorder that brings it back to your norm. One click turns the suggestion into a dealer order.
PLANSFrom Growth
The problem it solves
- A dealer runs out of your fast movers while its shelf is full of slow ones.
- The closing stock a dealer reports never agrees with what you sent and what it sold.
- Damaged and expired goods sit at the dealer until someone remembers to claim them.
- Reorders depend on the salesman's memory, not on the dealer's sales.
How it works
- Set the stock norm: the days of sales a dealer should hold, from 7 to 30 to start with. A dealer group can have its own.
- Every night the Dealer Stock Cover is worked out per dealer and item. It shows stock now, sales a day over 90 days, days of stock, goods on order.
- Items below the norm get a Suggested Reorder: enough to reach the top of the norm, less stock and goods on order.
- Select lines and press Make Dealer Order: one draft order per dealer with the suggested quantities. The dealer also sees Running low on its New Order page and can press Fill In What We Suggest.
- Record damaged, expired or near-expiry goods at a dealer, with batch, expiry date and photo. Raise Claim claims them at the dealer's price.
- The Dealer Stock Ledger shows a dealer's period per item: opening, bought from us, sold, damaged, and closing expected against reported.
Everything it does
Dealer Stock Ledger
- Per item: Opening, Bought From Us, Sold to Retailers, Damaged / Expired, Closing (Expected), Closing (Reported), Difference
- Opening and closing come from the dealer's stock reports; bought from us from your deliveries; sold from its secondary sales
Dealer Stock Cover
- Stock Now (Estimated): the last stock report plus what you delivered, less sales and damages since
- Sales a Day: secondary sales of 90 days; a dealer with no secondary sales uses your bills to it (Rate From)
- Days of Stock against Norm From and Norm To: Below Norm, Within Norm, Above Norm or No Sales
- On Order: open dealer orders not yet delivered
- Worked out every night, or now with Work Out Again
- One cover per dealer, in the entity that serves it
Damaged and Expired
- Dealer, date, item, quantity, kind (Damaged, Expired, Near Expiry), batch, expiry date, photo, notes
- Draft, Recorded, Claimed; Reset to Draft while not claimed
- Raise Claim makes a draft damage or expiry claim per dealer with a line per item at the dealer's price. A rejected claim frees the goods
Forecast and alerts (Scale)
- The sales rate is adjusted for the season: last year's coming 30 days against the 90 before, kept between half and double
- Forecast Sales a Day and Runs Out On per item; filter Running Out in 7 Days
- Control tower alerts when a dealer is out of an item it sells, or will run out soon
