Competitor prices from the market
Keep a list of competitor brands and their items, each matched to one of yours. Salesmen record the selling price and offer they see at a shop, with a photo. Each item shows its last price, the 90-day average and how far it is from yours.
PLANSFrom Growth
The problem it solves
- You hear a rival cut prices only when your orders drop.
- Salesmen report rival offers by phone, and the details are lost.
- Nobody can say whether a rival sells dearer or cheaper than you in one town.
How it works
- Under Configuration > Places and Field Work > Competitors, add a competitor brand and its items, with pack size, MRP and your item to compare.
- At a shop the salesman taps Competitor price on the party, picks the item and types the selling price. He adds the offer or scheme and a photo if there is one.
- The price is kept with the date, the shop, its area or beat, the salesman and the visit.
- Each competitor item shows the last price seen and when, the average of the last 90 days, your price and the gap between them.
- Market > Market Watch > Competitor Prices lists every price seen, or shows them by item and area in a pivot.
Everything it does
Competitor library
- Brand, notes, entity (empty: every entity), archive
- Items: name, pack size, MRP, our item to compare
- Added and changed by area managers and up; salesmen read the list
Prices seen
- Item, selling price, offer or scheme, photo, date, shop, area or beat, seen by, visit
- Competitor Prices: list (can also be typed by the office), pivot of price by item and area
- Filter by date; group by brand, item or area
Comparison on each item
- Last Price Seen and Last Seen On
- Average (90 Days)
- Our Price: the sales price of your item to compare
- Theirs vs Ours (%): above 0 they sell dearer than your list price, below 0 cheaper

Questions
What is the gap compared against?
The last price seen of the competitor item against the sales price of your item you matched to it. Above 0 means they sell dearer. Can the salesman add a competitor item he finds?
No. Area managers add competitor items, so names stay clean. The salesman asks his manager to add a new one.Can we see prices by town?
Yes. Prices keep the shop's area or beat. The pivot shows each item's price by area. Are we told when a competitor cuts its price?
Not yet. You see the gap on each item and the prices by area; no alert is sent. Can the AI read competitor prices from shelf photos?
On Scale, reading a shelf audit's photos returns competitor items and prices seen. Those are kept with the audit, not in the competitor price list.Related features
